Picked up a six-pack at Discount Liquors in Waukesha, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear golden orange brew with a medium sized, off-white head that quickly dissipates to a fine film and white ring. Aroma of grapefruit zest, a touch of caramel malt, light pine and some orange zest. Taste is medium bodied, light carbonated with some grapefruit zest and grassy hop character. Finish has a semi-dry hop bitterness that slowly disappears. A solid IPA and worth picking up.

Initially saw the score of 87 and was appalled. Not the greatest of IPAs, but a very quality IPA. Pours with a fresh, clean, piney aroma. A very standout and fantastic scent to this beer. A flavor that doesn’t knock you out with hops, but samples very cleanly and smoothly. A mid to full bodied mouth-feel, with a quality finish. Overall a quality experience. A low cost option to some of the more highly touted IPA’s. Definitely worth giving a try.

Bottle---Pours a hazy, dirty orange with a medium head. Aroma is a large burst of citrus hops back with a touch of caramel. Taste is the citrus hop with a soft base of malts, piney hops not noticeable. A decent amount of lacing on the glass. Finish was not very lip smacking and lacking a hoppy oil feel. Surprised and happy!

Aroma is citrus and resin hop aroma forward. Malt. Appearance is dark copper. Clear but has stuff floating in it, which is not impressive. Taste is citrus, apricot, resin, caramel malt, floral. Palate is medium. Fairly crisp. Overall not a bad beer. Standard IPA.

Bottle at home, from the Beer Pipeline. Thanks, Tony! Poured into my Minneapolis Town Hall glass: Pours hazy "IPA orange, thin white head, soft lacing. Nose is grassy hops, with light mandarin orange, clean malt, some perfume and persimmons. Flavours of grass, tart pulpy citrus, some nice round malt. Not particularly "juicy" but a pleasant enough IPA. Totally not my style of IPA, but no real complaints here. A nice change of pace from West Coast-style hop bombs, but not a beer I would necessarily seek out.

12oz bonus bottle from a trade, thanks. Pours clear copper with thin gold edges and small thin tan head. The aroma swims with tepid levels of tangelo and grapefruit as well as earthy to dank spicy hops. I like it as it seems to have pleasing levels of Columbus type hops in the aroma. The taste feels thin and ushers in modestly bitter grapefruit hops, spicy hops and a bit of pine hops to midway just as the malt sweetness kicks in. It seems to take on a largely pine hop feel half way thru and into the finish.

Pours an even brown orange with off white head. Nose an taste are mellow & piny. While this beer is short of interesting, it is solid. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Very nice grapefruit aroma to start this beer off. Pours a hazy dark amber, with a full white head. This isn’t a hop bomb, it is very hop forward. There’s a pleasant crisp hop bite at the beginning, with pine and floral notes. The downside is that there is next to no finish, there’s no lingering bitterness to sit on the palate. This is a decent IPA, there are many better ones out there.

Bottled. Red-orange with a tall, frothy, egg-creme head. Predominantly piney aroma - resinous spruce, grapefruit, apricot, white pepper, nilla wafers. Somewhat oxidized, cardboardy flavors atop orange zest, spruce tips, leather, calcium minerals and bright herbs (thyme?). Leathery, mildly medicinal finish.

Pours a hazy golden yellow color. Nose is heavy citrus especially grapefruit and hoppy. Full of taste with a medium to long bitter finish. Nice IPA, coming out of the midwest, where there are a spate of great microbreweries, unlike my home state, outside of Cigar City Brewery. Quaff Score 7 / 10
