COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
In the words of our President and founding father, Russ Klisch, "Klisch Pilsner is a meat and potatoes beer," meaning that though there are no darker specialty grains used to influence the color or texture of this beer, it is nonetheless a full-bodied satisfying all-malt brew. The recipe is simple, but how it is put together is what gives this beer its complexity. The deep golden color and malty flavor come from an ample amount of domestic malted barley and imported hops. The addition of Saaz hops added at the end of a two-hour boil gives the beer a wonderful balance with the accent on the hops.

On tap at the brewery. Pours sudsy gold. Flavor is bold malt with a crisp bite and a touch of Bohemian mustiness. Solid pilsner that tastes a bit more Czech than German.

An OK pils, a little grainy but the malts come through, somewhat dry, some hop character. Pale yellow with some decent head.

This German Pilsner pours a light yellowish color as the scent of malts hover over the beer. Upon tasting you take in a good taste of malts with hint of lemon citrus. Not anything to rave about, but not terrible either.

Medium golden with an eggshell white head. Mild light malt scent with hints of grass. Nice feel, small bubbles and not too many of them. Well balanced with some sweet malts, not overly sweet, just hints of the old style bubblegum you got with baseball cards type of sweetness with a light spice ....cardamon pods and a mild bitter follow. An easy drinking beer. I’m not a huge Pils fan but this is pretty tasty.

Bottle. Hazy light golden yellow, average white head, but with good retention. Pale malts, doughy yeast, light fruity hop accent in the finish. Low bitterness. Not a great pils, but this bottle is pretty old I believe.

A little light on the hops for a German pilsner, but a pretty tasty beer.

Cereal, dough and grassy skunk scent. Fizzy and hazy appearance. Light malt flavor, minor hop contrast Heavy for pils, light for beer.

Aroma is citrus and malts. The flavor is citrus, malts and something almost like tobacco or raisins. Interesting at first but weird with the tobacco flavor in it.
