BigBen2120 (564), Derry, New Hampshire, USA Jun 7, 2008 12oz brown bottle from The Lighthouse in Manchester as part of this brewery’s sampler 8-pack. Pours a light straw body with a quarter inch of off-white head that quickly dissipates. Smells sweet and bready, as well as slightly fruity. Tastes sweet, bready, slightly nutty... Not a lot of hop presence (surprisingly). Light bodied with moderate carbonation... Tasty and drinkable, though not quite to style IMO. Still a pretty solid beer.
PilsnerPeter (1493), Flushing, New York, USA Sep 23, 2008 Bottle: Hazy light golden with an initially huge white head that collapses to a film. Fairly sweet aroma. Notes of doughy Pilsner malt, along with green apple, honey and pear. Pretty spritzy feel. There is a sweetness upfront reminiscent of herbal honey and dough- which is followed by bright citrus (lemon zest) and apple skin with later grassy/mild bitterness. Simple, but well balanced and fairly clean. Hudspart (327), Hudsonville, Michigan, USA Sep 16, 2008 Bottle: Not a very good beer. Pours light, almost like a pale pager. Tastes like one too. CaryTheDude (283), Ripon, Wisconsin, USA Sep 9, 2008 Crushed with Jakebra at the brewery. Named after the founder, so it’s gotta be kinda aight. If you like urquell you’ll like this one. Decent. BlackDonald (1039), North Carolina, USA Aug 15, 2008 Pours a clear hay yellow color with a fine looking cloudy white head. Fresh biscuity nose, with a floral dose of citrusy hops. Clean and refreshing on the palate, with just the slightest hint of adjuncts, but not disappointing at all even though it misses a few style marks, but overall I found this to be quite easy to drink. checkmatei1 (275), Willow Grove, USA Jul 29, 2008 Bottle: Poured a light golden color with not much head. The aroma was earthy and malty. The flavor was that of corn and barley. Not much character from malt or hops. Overall, just an OK beer.
