Bomber. Grassy aroma with notes of lemon citrus. Pours pale golden colored with a thin white head and no lacing. Grass and malt flavors to start. Finishes smooth and clean with a hint of lemon. Refreshing kolsch.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber from Sonoma Cellars in Oconomowoc from their under $3 section - and remembering when this came out, it is likely pushing 10 months old. Pours a very pale golden with a ring of a white head. Aroma has light sweet fruits, bread dough and a touch of lemon. Light and sweet. Taste brings a solid doughy bread, light lemon and some sweet honey. Light bodied and smooth. Finishes light and sweet. No discernible sign of age. A light, mostly sweetly, malty brew. 13.2

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour is a hazy yellow with a large white head. Aroma is a nice bready dry pils malt. Flavor is equally as nice with bone dry pils malt and a touch of lemon grass at the end. Finish is again dry and the flavor is fleeting. Pretty good kolsch and much thicker and dryer mouthfeel then others I’ve had.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber from the North Coast Co-Op in Eureka, CA. Pours rather dishwater gold with a creamy white head. Aroma is sweet, grain citrus - all rather light. Med minus body. Flavor is bready, mildly grainy sweet, very lightly citrus. Serve it in Koln and I’d readily identify the style. Does finish slightly too sweet, perhaps.

Hazy gold with a bunch of particles and floatees. Big doughy malty aroma. Malt and lemongrass taste. Bit nondescript citrus too. Light mouthfeel. Decent kolsch style.

12/17/13. 22oz bomber from Five Points. Less than $3 for a bomber. Crazy cheap. Hazy golden pour with minor particulates, under a thick, soapy off-white head that fades and barely laces. Pils malt all over the aroma, doughy, gritty, lightly fruity/citrus. Sweeter flavor, fruity, citrus, doughy pils malts, a bit tangy. Not bad, especially for <$3.
