Dark cloudy amber color, small off white head that had a short that dissipated quickly. Malty aroma with a bit of sweet caramel and maybe a hint of hops. The hops managed to come through nicely but not very strong. Light lacing. Over all not a bad Octoberfest.

12oz - Aroma of malts both nutty and fruity with a slight citrus hop back. Pours transparent dark orange with a ring head and decent lacing. Flavor matches aroma and is pretty much all malt. Palate is clean and uneventful. I’m pretty sure that Oktoberfest is not a style for me.

Had this beer on 9/22/2003. Aroma is a rich malt scent somewhat like a Scottish Ale. Color is a deep burnt orange with light carbonation and a thin head. Taste is light and crisp. Stating with a light/medium body it goes down crisp. Finish is a light sweet malt flavor backed by a mild bitterness. Its a bit light for an Oktoberfest.

Picked up a single 12-oz bottle from Cellar’s Wine & Spiritis in St Paul, MN. Pours a clear orange amber brew with a thin white head that quickly dissolves to a white ring and film. Aroma of caramel malt, some Hawaiian bread, a touch of green tea and fruity plums. Taste is medium bodied, very light carbonation with a light caramel malt flavor. The hop character is light with no bitterness. Finish is a tad watery with a caramel and bread aftertaste. A light Oktoberfest profile compared to most others.

Pours copper with a thin white head. smells of soy sauce, tea, earthy, some citrus. Tastes of caramel, some biscuits, more tea. Not sure where the soy sauce nose came from, but the taste is pretty much on par. Not bad.

Orangy light yellow brown with a light thin white head. Sweet vinous grapey malt. A bit of floral hops, but dominantly sweet with a big grape! Low carbonation, low viscosity, very drinkable. Round malty sweetness, a bit of wheatiness? A bit of peppery hops. A bit of a weak finish. A bit peppery in the finish.

Pretty good. From the tap it is MUCH better. Nice color and aroma, not quite as hoppy as I want -- a little like Sam Adams Oktoberfest in that regard. Too much malt + caramel makes a beer too much like a danish. This is close to that, but still pretty good.
