| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Jun 8, 2007 12 Oz Bottle. Pours a burnished copper, fiery and rimmed with a banana-tinted yellow creamed head. Aroma is a rustic seared malt sugar and light earth, held back and maybe muddled with a bit of off-flavor. The originally tasting impressions are of an underdone Marzen, with too little Munich malt, not nearly enough bold chewiness, nuance or good lagering. A nip skanky and all around weak and not desirable. Lacks a balancing crisp bite of hop work at the end. jefcon (999), Arlington, Virginia, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 11/20 | Mar 27, 2007 Kind of dark amber-orange. Grain aromas with some apricot/cherry tang. Also slightly acidic to the taste, with light caramel malts, sweet, and peach-like fruit. Thinning palate and short finish. Abrupt malt arrival on the tongue. MIBRomeo (1965), Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Feb 17, 2007 Yellowish copperish colored pour w/ a small white head. Aroma is a touch nutty w/ some roasty sweet malts lots of carmels. Pretty avg palate a bit thin though. The flavor is a typical okt * a typical lakefront brew.. some malts a lightly dry finish.. not all that much to it. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA
| 4.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 4/5 | 8/10 | 4/5 | 20/20 | Feb 10, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours to a slightly hazy, deep golden color, with a thick, creamy, white head, and good carbonation. The nose on this beer is excellent; Lots of good toasty and nutty malt aroma. The palate offers the same. Lots of good, crips, toasty and nutty malt flavor, on a clean, round, body. This beer finishes with more good toasty malt up front, then ends with good herbal hop bitterness to round out and balance the malt character. Nice domestic example of Ofest. argo0 (6891), Washington DC, USA

Aroma is medium sweet, caramel, some brown sugar, light earthy, cherry. Taste is medium sweet, caramel, some earthy, peach, light lager yeast sourness. Light-medium body, light stickiness, acidity. | 2.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 2/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Dec 11, 2006 Amber to light copper hue. Fizzy head with a quickly disappearing head. Light candied almond aroma and a bit of citrus from the hops. Palate and body are thin and watery with nothing going on in the realm of malt character or anything suggesting a balance of hop and malt. Just nothing there. Typical of Lakefront, not bad, but certainly not good. Very bland, boring and average.
