12 oz bottle. Pours to a slightly hazy, deep golden color, with a thick, creamy, white head, and good carbonation. The nose on this beer is excellent; Lots of good toasty and nutty malt aroma. The palate offers the same. Lots of good, crips, toasty and nutty malt flavor, on a clean, round, body. This beer finishes with more good toasty malt up front, then ends with good herbal hop bitterness to round out and balance the malt character. Nice domestic example of Ofest.

NIce malty aroma. Poured a nice amber color with a small but very fluffy white head that quickly receded into a very thin cap. Left very light lacing. Has a very malty flavor that I found very pleasant. Medium body with thick texture Carbonation is lively but not overbearing. Finish is sweet malt followed by quick slightly bitter hops flavor. I really enjoyed this oktoberfest. While not a addition to my favorite rotation of beers, I will definitely drink this one with pleasure again. A very good job by Lakefront. If you like malty beers give this one a try. Served in a Stein.

Color is glowing amber with a thin cream colored head that fades quickly and leaves minimal thin spotty lace. Smell is both and sweet and toasty; crispy. Toasted grains and buttery mostly with some sweet soft breadish malts. Taste is a nice mix of toasted grains and malty sweetness, much like sour dough bagels, sweet wheat and oats add some other layers to the sweetness. Quite bready and yeasty fresh. Nice lingering finish with a slight crispness and breadish tones. A nice taster! Feel is just over a medium body heft with a nice fullness in the swallow and ends with a mellowing crispness. A very nice O-fest. Looking at the previous reviews, I wonder what the hell is going on. I really liked this beer; this had nearly everything I expect in a good marzen/oktoberfest. I like the toastyer ones and this Lakefront brew had it.

Copper colered with a small whitesh head. The aroma is predominately fresh malt. The flavor is again malty, but very fresh tasting. Toward the finish, some hints of grain. Flavor and finish is full as expected from an Oktoberfest. Very smooth and very drinkable.

ppearance: clear dark crimson color, the match of autumn leaves (the ones that pass by my window, of red and gold...), with a short, white head above. Aroma: rich and sweet, caramelly, and touch vegetal. Taste: toasty mouthfeel, with no hops anywhere, but malt is all over the place, and is quite yummy, too. A malt monster, with a full body, medium finish, and a nearly sticky flavor that coasts the mouth with every sip. I quite enjoyed this bottle and emptied it with exceptional ease.

Side by side looked just like Spaten Oktoberfest with a slightly darker head. Bright dark amber color. Slightly citric aroma. Sweeter version of this style. The toasted flavors are slightly muted by the sweetness. A good beer. I would perfer this style slightly drier.

This is a nice, tasty beer, but defintiely on the light, thin side for an Oktoberfest. It’s amber with a huge, off-white head that slowly shrinks to leave a little weak lace. The aroma is very nice, flowery, lemon, bread, crust, hints of pine and fruit. The taste is nice, also, being fruity, lemony, with light cracker quality, zesty, apple peepl, and light yeastiness, with light bitterness balancing the light sweetness and perhaps just having the edge. However, its’s a bit thin and light, and not exactly what I think of for this style. At least it’s more flavourful than the Gordon Biersch version.

I’m going against the grain (pardon my pun) on this one. What I really liked about this Oktoberfest was due to a suspected flaw- the dominant nature of the body was partially fermented malt syrup. This gave the beer a very sweet, toasted cereal flavor that reminded me of honey graham crackers. Also had a sweetened iced tea aroma with hints of fruit juice. I suspect if this was more fully fermented the sweetness would be toned down...but maybe then I’d rate it closer to its 2.74 average! Tasty but I could only drink one or two as it stands. Thanks Matt (MrFacto) for the bottle!
