jjkuck10 (36), , Wisconsin, USA Sep 1, 2009 Apperance is a clear light brown color with weak tan head. Aroma is sweet and malty. Flavor mild; sweet of sugar, malt, fruit, minimal hops. simonbilyk (42), Maine, USA Sep 1, 2009 12oz bottle. Perfectly clear and light brown, creamy head has lasted the entire mug. Aroma is clean, slight resin from hops, some cherry and perhaps a little burnt sugar. First gulp contains glorious rum like flavor. Very light hopping lets the sugar and darker malt show through. It’s smashing with garlic scrambled eggs. I want to keeeep drinking, and definitely want to taste more ESBs. Yay beer! BeerFanDan17 (610), Land O Lakes, Florida, USA Aug 24, 2009 Kinda misses the spot. Not sure the style they’re going for here. Bit of malt and no strong hop flavor to note. Somewhat watery--probably the worst of the 8-pack sampler of lakefront. drowland (1360), Tallahassee, Florida, USA Aug 21, 2009 Sweet up front with a definite tart that hits the sides of your tongue. Finishes with a nice balance of hoppy bitterness. MmmcKay (269), Brentwood, Tennessee, USA Aug 15, 2009 Opaque orange-brown and copper in color. Nose of honeyed biscuits or cornbread. Nice palette, good mouthfeel. Simple in flavor but tasty. Gentle zapprentice (309), East Setauket, New York, USA Aug 13, 2009 Ehh. Aroma is grainy, nothing of note. Flavor is very similar. This beer is just kind of there. ben4321 (957), Rockville, Maryland, USA Jul 23, 2009 Location: 12 oz bottle from Total Wine - Richmond, 7/23/09
Aroma: Caramel malts, light hop nose, bit of fruit (cherry?), an almost medicinal quality
Appearance: Hazy amber-orange color, decent off-white head, some light lacing
Flavor: Similar to the nose, but kind of weak/light, some malts, some hops, not a lot there
Palate: Decent mouthfeel, long finish, decent amount of body
Overall Impression:
It’s an alright ESB, decent flavor, easy to drink, not bad, but a bit dull. jbye4334 (652), Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA Jul 23, 2009 (bottle). Cloudy amber color. Medium off white head. Light malt aroma. Malty flavor with light floral hops. Avg duration. Light bitterness. Slick texture. Moderate carbonation. Spare lacing.
