The Caboose in Ashland had received its first shipment. this is the organic version of an ESB. This is not so bitter beer. The heads is white foam with some lacing. The copper color was very attractive. It is a drinkable beverage but not special. It had a light body. It just is not a beer I would seek out. I had another on 10/12. Still no change in my comments. It does have a sweet taste that I did not note last time. jhliesen (403), West Melbourne, Florida, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 4/5 | 7/10 | 2/5 | 13/20 | Aug 20, 2006 Bottle-Cooper color with a small head. The taste and aroma was overwhelming caramel, which I happen to like. However, there was no carbonation at all, so all of the caramel taste felt sticky. Bonus point for organic. maniac (2628), Richmond, Virginia, USA

| 2.4 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 2/5 | 8/20 | Aug 11, 2006 Bottle... Clear deep amber ale with a small, fizzy, off-white head. Malty, phenolic aroma and flavor. Medicinal with notes of bandage and toffee. Peppery hops. Medium-bodied with intermediate carbonation. Mildly sweet, medicinal finish. gws57 (1137), Saint Charles, Illinois, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 10/20 | Aug 4, 2006 Got this bottled at the brewery in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Clear, dark red pour with a filmy head. Malty nose with a bit of chocolate and caramel. Watery mouthfeel and muddled tastes, quite sweet with notes of raisin bread, flavor drops off fairly quickly and leaves with a slightly sour finish that wasn’t entirely pleasant. This drinks well but in the end isn’t very bitter. It’s okay. mojoman (44), Nashville, Tennessee, USA
| 1.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 4/10 | 2/5 | 6/20 | Aug 4, 2006 Not very bitter, and tastes of bread. Not very complex either. Not enough carbonation. madcow75 (425), Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 4/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 12/20 | Jul 29, 2006 Bottle. Pours murky copper color, no head. Aroma is sweet malts and slightly metallic. Taste is comprimsed of mostly bready and caramel malt. Some hops but not near as much as I would’ve expected. Very easy drinking, light body. Not a bad experience but not one that I will seek out.
