12 oz bottle. Amber in color with a small off white head. Aroma of caramel, some toasted malt- some stale earthy hops. Taste is some wet cardboard/stale malt, and some earthy astringrent hops. Couldn’t finish the whole glass.

This bitter pours an amber red with a light tan head, mostly dissipating.Nose is malt and caramel. Mouthfeel is creamy and soft. Taste is mild with some caramel, malt flavors but also a slight chalkiness. Finishes clean. OK but not the best of Lakefront’s brews. Pairs well with chili on a winter’s day.

12oz bottle from the mix pack. Pours clear amber with a half inch off-white head. Average aroma of malt, hop and yeast with none really standing out. Flavor is somewhat hoppy up front then some malt and a faint fruitiness I can only equate to grape Kool-Aid.

Sampled at the Second Cellar Reduction. Clear burnt amber color with wispy thin white head. Sweet malty aroma profile. Flavor has only the mildest touch of hops. More of an amber ale. Fair.

Pours a very yellow hazy amber with a moderate but short-lived head. Smell is a slightly subdued pleasant tartness. Flavors are simple but well-composed, light malty sweetness, tart and bitter elements from the hops. Lingering husky finish. Despite the sweetness, palate comes off slightly dry, especially on the finish. Superior drinkability.

12oz bottle: Appearance is amber brown with slow fading white head, aroma has slight hint of malt, flavor is pretty blang pale malt with a decent amount of bitterness, no off flavors but still a very simple beer.
