| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 11/20 | Jan 7, 2009 This bitter pours an amber red with a light tan head, mostly dissipating.Nose is malt and caramel. Mouthfeel is creamy and soft. Taste is mild with some caramel, malt flavors but also a slight chalkiness. Finishes clean. OK but not the best of Lakefront’s brews. Pairs well with chili on a winter’s day. JaBier (1212), Capital City, Ohio, USA
| 3.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Jan 6, 2009 12oz bottle from the mix pack. Pours clear amber with a half inch off-white head. Average aroma of malt, hop and yeast with none really standing out. Flavor is somewhat hoppy up front then some malt and a faint fruitiness I can only equate to grape Kool-Aid. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Dec 31, 2008 Pours a very yellow hazy amber with a moderate but short-lived head. Smell is a slightly subdued pleasant tartness. Flavors are simple but well-composed, light malty sweetness, tart and bitter elements from the hops. Lingering husky finish. Despite the sweetness, palate comes off slightly dry, especially on the finish. Superior drinkability. thooper41 (384), Oregon, USA
