fidelis83 (709), Clinton, Iowa, USA Dec 15, 2008 Pours a slightly hazy dark red copper with very little head. Aroma is pretty vague, sweet toast and straw a little fruity sour, thats all I got out of it, but this beer is definitely too cold. Flavor is a little better than the aroma, sweet caramel, a little toast, apple, straw, a hint of biscuit, and berries. Finish is slightly bitter and fruity, almost artificially so. Body is thin slick and sweet. Kind of seems like a girly take on the style (no offense, just too sweet and fruity, like beverages marketed to young women) it has some bite to it, really not enough to do the style justice though. emacgee (1859), Chapel Hill, North Carolina, USA Dec 12, 2008 Pours a hay copper with a one finger fizzy offwhite head. The nose is sweet, strange, has a weird fruitiness to it, acetic, maybe infected. The flavor tells me its definitely infected. Strange acetic fruitiness. Mild sweetness. Not drinkin no mo esjaygee (1467), Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA Dec 7, 2008 Golden yellow with a thin white head. Aroma of sweet and toasted malt with some mild hops. Taste of sweet malt, mild fruit and caramel. Sweet to bitter and semi-dry on the finish. Bitterness fades fast on the finish. So-so. troopie (851), USA Dec 6, 2008 Bottle. Poured copper red with thick white head. Faint malt sweet aroma. Medium body with more malt, very little hop. Very little finish, and it unpleasant. Not very bitter. jah noth (1015), Rochester, New York, USA Dec 4, 2008 Minimal aroma of sweetness. Reddish in color with a quickly disappearing head. Rich and malty in flavor, with not enough of the earthy/slightly minty hops. This beer would kill with a bit more flavor and aroma hops. McGarnigle (303), Rochester, New York, USA Nov 28, 2008 Updated: Nov 29, 2008Bottle. Hazy amber brew with subtle hop aroma. Biscuit grains and light English hops. Not very bitter. Easy to drink and tastes okay, but not something I’d hunt down unless it had to be organic (and even then...). blipp (1632), Newark, New Jersey, USA Nov 20, 2008 Bottle. Pours amber with a thin head. Lightly sweet aroma, a bit toasty. The flavor is well balanced and light, a bit earthy with toasty sweet malt. Not bad. larsogr (5), , Minnesota, USA does not count Oct 29, 2008 Poured from a bottle into a pint glass. Hazy, amber color. Mild, sweet aroma. Light malty, sweet flavor - not much bitterness. A little sweet for my taste.
