DragonStout (1380), Pataskala, Ohio, USA Oct 15, 2008 Pour was a cloudy amber with a white head.Nose was metallic and hoppy.Flavor was crisp and hoppy with some bitterness on the end. Sparky27 (1559), Phoenix, Arizona, USA Oct 13, 2008 Bottle. Pours a slightly cloudy dark gold with a one finger white head and minimal lacing. Nose is mainly sweet malt with a faint sour/bitter aroma. Taste is sweet caramel malt with a touch of bittering hops in the finish. Medium mouth feel. Not great, but drinkable. doubleo (1096), San Diego, California, USA Oct 13, 2008 12oz bottle. Pours hazy amber with a thin, fizzy, offwhite head, specks of lace. Smells very subdued malty, sweet metallic. Tastes nice and sweet malty, caramelly, slightly fruity, slightly metallic. Medium body, ok carbonation. popephred (193), Plainfield, Illinois, USA Oct 4, 2008 Poured from the bottle into a pint glass. Pour produced an amber body topped by a small tan head of foam. Aroma is mildly hoppy, and I mean mild, not much nose at all. Mildly carbonated with a malty sweetness, followed by a slight bitterness; fairly well balanced. Palate is uncomplicated and favors toward the hops with a slight bitter aftertaste. This is the second certified organic brew I have tried and have yet to be impressed. daknole (2805), Plantation, Florida, USA Sep 25, 2008 bottle from total wine. nice amber pour wtih a small white head. The goodness stops at the sight of the beer. The aroma is grainy with some hops. flavor is muted hops and some malt. not worth seeking out at all. CaryTheDude (1113), Longmont, Colorado, USA Sep 15, 2008 Not crazy about it but it could be worse. Nice looking beer, malty nose, missing out on flavor though. All this crazy organic nonsense might have something to do with that. Wouldn’t get it again, but it’s aight. mcjay (301), Neenah, Wisconsin, USA Sep 14, 2008 Updated: Mar 26, 2009Brownish amber color with a thin, clingy off white head. Light caramel aroma. Bitter and slightly sweet, grainy flavor combined with a rich malty body. No lack of flavor due to the organic ingredients. AmEricanbrew (1747), Louisiana, USA Sep 9, 2008 Clear amber with a tight head. Mild malty sweet caramel aroma. Medium body. Decent flavor is sweet toffee malt with a lightly bitter hop bite to finish. Nice enough.
