Quite non-English in aroma and flavor. Lightish golden/amber color, very short head. Fruity and slightly herbal aroma, pleasant juicy maltiness. Drinkable. Braudog (3789), Dayton, Ohio, USA

Warming aspect to this surprisingly full-flavored brew -- nice caramel basis, not nearly as hoppy as I like my ESBs, this comes off more like an American amber ale. ONly a slight orchard-like bite in this one. (#2641 - 1/7/07) ¾ (5011), Boulder, Colorado, USA

Flavor is a bit off... like some sour grains and bread, along with a caramel malt backing. Good palate, somewhat dry and of sour wheat. DarkElf (2681), La Jolla, California, USA
| 2.8 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Oct 16, 2005 (12 oz bottle: Obtained in trade with footbalm, thanks Eric!) A few sips of this ESB and I think it’s decidedly average across the board. This is one of those sweet, bready, lightly toasty ESBs that seems so common here in the States. Moderately fruity and showing a bit of sweet, orange citrus as well, but the hops is just totally lacking here, not even providing enough bitterness to bring the beer into balance. The gentle carbonation, medium body and smooth palate make this an easy beer to drink, but a boring one. Light amber and somewhat hazy body is capped by a small, off-white head that settles to a ring. Just a few spots of lace here and there. Merely ordinary. EithCubes (2177), Indiana, USA

Clear orange body with a soapy tan head. Sweetish crystal malt taste, mildly acidic and tart with caramel, bread, and bg cherries. Floral and citric hops. Aftertaste a near-metallic (not quite) breadiness, dry. Nice little lemon flourish at the end there. A little thin and sickly, not a bad drink. Glorified Amber. Aroma is mostly sweet malt, body is also sweet with some caramel and a sweeter finish. Quite a feat for all organic ingredients, but this needs a little something else. smith4498 (960), Miami, Florida, USA
