This beer was better before it went organic. Now it is thin and does not have much flavor. Fairly malty with not enough hops to make it a bitter.

Mild caramel malt. Appearance is copper and hazy, small head. Taste is some caramel malt, bit of english esters followed by earthy hops bitterness. Palate is medium light. Overall not bad. A solid drinker. Doesnt seem to be compromised by needing to be organic.

Nephilium (955) - Ohio, USA - MAY 26, 2012
Mild grassy hop aroma, pours a clear dark amber with a thin white head. Bready malt sweetness comes through first, with a strange off hop flavor. There’s bitterness there, and a metallic taste as well. This is not one I’ll be hunting down again.

Pours golden orange with almost no head. Smells malty. Taste is sweet malts with a little hops and vegetables notes. light bodied. After taste is dry, but a little off. Simple, okay to drink, but nothing to search out.

Onenote81 (903) - Winston-Salem, North Carolina, USA - APR 25, 2012
Originally reviewed: 7/23/08. Poured a very murky amber/copper color with a large head. This took about 5 minutes to pour the entire bottle into a pint glass. Smells sweet with some honey overtones. Some floral, malt, and maybe some toffee as well. Taste was very well-balanced. A nice sweet/tart mix going on. A slight metallic bite to it, but not overwhelming. Finished a tad bitter. The beer gets more tart as it warms. Overall, very well-balanced beer. Good beer from the boys at Lakefront.

355ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a finger of off-white head with good retention and eventually revealing a thin lattice of lacing on the glass. Aroma is light caramel malts with some nuttiness and mild citrusy hops. Taste is much like the aroma. Body is light to medium and carbonation is decent. An decent representation of the style.

Bottle. Hazy orange amber with a creamy off white head that lasted the whole glass. Aroma is lightly toasty caramel. Flavours of nutty caramel, light toast, with a mildly bitter finish. Pretty simple, but tasty and comforting.

Bottle pours orange-gold with an off-white head. Aroma is grainy malt and a faint hint of hops. Flavor is bready and basically the same as the nose. Overall body is light and finishes with light bitterness.
