COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pumpkin Lager is brewed with pumpkins in the mash, spices added during the boil, and lightly hopped. The rich specialty grains and lager fermentation combine to produce the taste and the texture of pumpkin pie.

UPDATED: APR 18, 2010 The aroma has caramel malt, hops, spice, and a tiny bit of pumpkin and dirt. The appearance is light amber gold with an average head. The flavor is like the aroma. The palate is thin. Overall it’s OK maybe even better than OK but not something I would like to drink more than seasonally.

Originally reviewed: 11/7/09. Poured into a standard pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy dark orange with a thin off-white head on top. Little retention, and even less lace. Smells of pumpkin bread, allspice, cinnamon, and a light Kool-Aid after-scent. The body on this one is a little thin, but this aids in drinkability as this is quite refreshing. This is a very good pumpkin beer. The pumpkin is there, but not overpowering in any way. The spices are muted as well. There’s a very pleasant honey-kissed bready aftertaste that I really dig. I think this is my favorite pumpkin-flavored beer to date.

Pleasant pumpkin and spice aroma, light amber in color, pleasant pumpkin and spice taste that isn’t overpowering. Smooth finish. This is one of my favorite pumpkin beers. I look forward to visiting the brewery and drinking it fresh from the source one day!

(12oz bottle from Total Wine Scottsdale). Pours a hazy orange-copper color with chunky off-white head. Aroma is strong pumpkin pie spice and earthy pumpkin. Taste is sweet with the spices really coming through. Medium bodied with a slick texture. Smooth, spicey finish. Not bad at all.

Clear coppery orange with a small white head. Aroma smells like nutmeg and some fake pumpkin purée, ginger and allspice. Tastes of pale sweet malts, pumpkin, allspice, ginger, nutmeg, and some overt sweetness. A little too much on the ginger and spices, but goes along well with thanksgiving’s dessert.

Deep orange brown pour with a thin white head. Pumpkin and nutmeg aroma. Big malt body with lots of cinnamon, nutmeg and pumpkin in the taste. Decent.

Initially the aroma of this had a good pumpkin pie aroma, but as you drink it it seemed shortlived, there is a typical oktoberfest type aroma with mineral, very light metallic, after a few drinks you start to get a sulfery aroma.Little to no head with a thin ring of lasting foam. NIce medium dark gold/copper color very clear. The taste of this is pretty good for an average abv pumpkin, i was giving up on thinking anything under 6% was even good for a pumpkin beer. This one actually has good body, nice smooth slickness, kinda creamy maybe a little buttery/salty,and has a perfect sweetness balanced well with the pumpkin spices. The taste of this beer is what i consider a great pumpkin tasting beer,no spice seems to dominate and is matched well with a carmelly creamlike sweetness that is medium, aftertaste is a little pumpkin spice but then a creamy slick finish with a crisp almost citrus but kind of butterness. Not disapointed at all with this, definatly 6 pack worthy.

10/22/11. 12oz bottle. Hazy orange pour. Medium level spice aroma, mostly cinnamon, with a touch of sweetness. Sweet gourd flavor with a nice spice profile as well. Not overwhelmingly spicy. Not bad!
