COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pumpkin Lager is brewed with pumpkins in the mash, spices added during the boil, and lightly hopped. The rich specialty grains and lager fermentation combine to produce the taste and the texture of pumpkin pie.

I love a pumpkin ale. Strong robust spiceness paves the way to spectacular holidays. Thinner than other pumpkin lagers, with little hops and just enough clovey spiciness. Could turn you hair orange with too many!

A clear, amber colored beer with a distinct aroma. Not overpowering and good after-taste. One of the better seasonal offerings by Lakefront.

Like pouring punkin’ juice. Nice color w/ a medium sized froth. Good head retention w/ a nice lasting lace. Smells just like grandmas pumpin pie. Medium nectar w/ soft residual effers. Very malty and round w/ defined pumpkin pie spice. The bittering unit is bright and refreshing. The finish has a lingering malty spice. This is what pumpkin beer is all about. A great specimen. Highly recommended.

Hazy orangey-amber colour. Bright, assertive pumpkin nose with lots of spice (nutmeg). Body is light...there’s just enough malts to keep this going. Big nutmeg splash. Plus, it has lager cleanliness. Not the coolest pumpkin beer I’ve ever had, but probably the most technically sound.

Originally reviewed: 11/7/09. Poured into a standard pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy dark orange with a thin off-white head on top. Little retention, and even less lace. Smells of pumpkin bread, allspice, cinnamon, and a light Kool-Aid after-scent. The body on this one is a little thin, but this aids in drinkability as this is quite refreshing. This is a very good pumpkin beer. The pumpkin is there, but not overpowering in any way. The spices are muted as well. There’s a very pleasant honey-kissed bready aftertaste that I really dig. I think this is my favorite pumpkin-flavored beer to date.

Nice combination of clove and nutmeg spices along with a subtle backdrop of pumpkin flavor. Definite winner.

Light amber with a light cream colored, quickly dissipating head. Aroma of cinnamon, allspice and nutmeg with a faint pale malt undertone. Malt hits you first followed by light spice and then back to malt maltiness. Its been some time since I had had this one, and this one is better than I remember. Pumpkin really doen’t come out until it warms up. Finishes slightly spicy and a touch of hops bitterness. A very good pumpkin beer.

Pretty solid beer, I would say that it has more of the spiciness that is associated with Pumpkin pie, than the actual pumpkin flavor, kind of a spicy sweet flavor, no real hops to speak of, good but not really a style that I would repeat much

Dirty brass color, foamy white head, fine lace. Aromas of spice, herbs, yeast and hops -- faint pumpkin smell. Flavor of pumpkin shines through along with pie spices, cloves, chocolate and citrusy hops. Not terribly sweet, though. Effervecent but not unpleasantly so. Refreshing with long, clean finish.

Nice aroma of pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves. Poured a pumkin orange with a small white head that quickly disappeared into a very thin fizzy cap. Left a very thin lacing on pint glass. Flavor of pumkin, hops, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg. A medium body, with medium to thick texture, lively carbonation with a slightly bitter ginger ale finish that was long. This is nice beer. Perfect for a cold blustery fall day. While I wont add it to my favorite rotation, I would definitely drink again. Nice job by LakeFront. If you like Pumkin brews definitely give this one a try.
