COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Pumpkin Lager is brewed with pumpkins in the mash, spices added during the boil, and lightly hopped. The rich specialty grains and lager fermentation combine to produce the taste and the texture of pumpkin pie.

Nice aroma of pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon and cloves. Poured a pumkin orange with a small white head that quickly disappeared into a very thin fizzy cap. Left a very thin lacing on pint glass. Flavor of pumkin, hops, cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg. A medium body, with medium to thick texture, lively carbonation with a slightly bitter ginger ale finish that was long. This is nice beer. Perfect for a cold blustery fall day. While I wont add it to my favorite rotation, I would definitely drink again. Nice job by LakeFront. If you like Pumkin brews definitely give this one a try.

I did a taste test with several pumpkin beers last year and this was by far the best one we tried. It has a great spice aroma and flavor with a nice strong beer backbone behind it. I think it’s important that the beer could stand alone without the flavoring and this one does, unlike most of the others.

UPDATED: APR 14, 2012 Bottle @ home. Hazy, reddish orange appearance with a small off-white head. Rich, toasty pumpkin, vanilla, huge nutmeg, cinnamon aroma. Quite rich pumpkin, spicy cinnamon/nutmeg, light vanilla flavor. This is actually a re-rate on a 18 month old bottle and is still tasty.

Very Dark Cloudy Orange. Scent and flavor are a line up of Pumpkin, Spices, Yeasts, Barley and an average malty backbone. The palate is very crisp and light, thanks to a nicely balanced carbonation. Overall a solid Pumpkin Ale.

Pretty good pumpers. Made with lager so it's not as lively in the younger but the pumps is strong and good spices. Pumpers like to pump. The Derricks ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

From notes. Another solid offering from lakefront. You can taste the actual pumpkin a lot more in this beer, unlike some others where it is mostly pumpkin pie spices and cinnamon. Easy drinking and great for the cold October nights.

THOUGHTS: A good deal lighter than most pumpkin beers in body, but not light on flavor. Way better than I was expecting. I thought they just made a lager to be different, but it was really a great tasting beer. Incredibly easy to drink. TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a slightly cloudy, light to medium, orangey copper with a large, off-white head that pretty much fully diminished. The aroma had light grain; moderate caramel; slight hops; and mostly sweet pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices. The initial flavor was moderately sweet and slightly bitter and sour; while the finish was moderate to heavily sweet and slightly bitter and acidic with a sort of short duration. There was caramel malt, sweet pumpkin, pumpkin pie spices, and light and crisp hops. The light to medium body was slick and creamy with fizzy carbonation. It went down so easy.

Aromas of lager with faint pumpkin fruit notes under clove and cinnamon. A delicious lager that does not overdo the spice footer the season. Bottle from bottle shop.

I had this at Global Brew. Pours orange with a white head. Taste pumpkin, nutmeg, cinnamon. I thought this was good. I could drink this again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
