3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
THOUGHTS: A good deal lighter than most pumpkin beers in body, but not light on flavor. Way better than I was expecting. I thought they just made a lager to be different, but it was really a great tasting beer. Incredibly easy to drink.
TECHNICAL: Bottle. Poured a slightly cloudy, light to medium, orangey copper with a large, off-white head that pretty much fully diminished. The aroma had light grain; moderate caramel; slight hops; and mostly sweet pumpkin and pumpkin pie spices. The initial flavor was moderately sweet and slightly bitter and sour; while the finish was moderate to heavily sweet and slightly bitter and acidic with a sort of short duration. There was caramel malt, sweet pumpkin, pumpkin pie spices, and light and crisp hops. The light to medium body was slick and creamy with fizzy carbonation. It went down so easy.

Orange with a thin head and lots of lacing. Aroma of cooked pumpkin. Tastes like a wheat ale with pumpkin, rather simple. Water palate.

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled 8/6/13. Poured 12/22/13. Pours translucent gold-amber with a thin, dissipating white head. Aroma is pumpkin spice, earthy, spicy, fruity, crisp, cloves, nutmeg, cinnamon. Taste is dry, bitter pumpkin flesh, nutmeg, grass, roast malt; but watery. Finish is bitter pumpkin rind. No lacing. Medium-low carbonation. Mouth feel is chewy. Better than I expected but not exceedingly so. Not terrible, but certainly nothing special.

Tap at the stags head as part of oddest flavored flight of beers I’ve ever designed of which this is most subdued. Pours orange brown with nose of traditional pumpkin spices and canned pumpkin pie mix. Tastes much ofnthe same of brown sugar, nutmeg, cloves, some malt, and pre made pumpkin pie. Nice palate and pretty tasty

From the bottle in September. Pours a cloudy apricot-amber with significant head and lace. Aroma of allspice, pumpkin, brown sugar, clove. Moderate carbonation and mouthfeel. Flavors of brown sugar, pumpkin, cinnamon, amber malts. Overall a lovely balance and flavor...worth seeking out.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Appearance was clear pumpkin with diminishing rocky off white 1/2 finger head, no lacing. Aromas are spices of nutmeg, cinnamon, all spice, cloves with hints of sweet malt base. Lager yeasts let the spices shine. Taste are spices of before mention, light malt base with slight squash present with no alcohol. Palate was light with soft smooth CO2 with thin mouthfeel, then spicey clean average length finish. An easy drinking mild spicey brew, great for the holidays.

Bottle. Pours bright orange with white head. Smells very nutmeg and allspice. Has a big nutmeg taste, vegetative, floral, a simple brew. Easy and good.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Definite cinnamon aroma coming off a clear copper/orange body with a thin white head. The cinnamon follows into the taste which is what dominates here along with some other pumpkin pie spice. There’s a good honey/caramel sweetness to balance the spice and slight vegetal taste. The body is kind of thin. A bit too much cinnamon without enough backbone, but still not a bad pumpkin beer.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
12oz bottle from Brewmasters in Wilson. Golden brown hue, normal clarity with off-white fully diminishing head. Virtually no lacing. Nutmeg & spice on the nose. Light citrus, pumpkin & alcohol up front, light citrus & nutmeg on the finish. Oily texture with flat carbonation on the palate. It was okay.
