Like a Northwest France strong summer ales - quenching and refreshing, but robust enough to match the full-bodied fare of a brasserie. Rendezvous Ale is a hybrid of malty richness and enough hops acidity (Brewer’s Gold, Tradition) to cut through the strong flavors of roasted lapin au moutarde, or a burly beef steak fries.

Pours a slightly hazy deep golden bronze with a spotty-lacing white head. Has a lightly sweet toasty light caramel malty nose with a touch of piny grassy hops and doughy yeast. Starts with good fullness and a chewy caramel malty sweetness with good bitter hop balance and authenticity before a drier crisp finish. A fairly true to style and drinkable biere de garde.

Sweet, one dimensional nose, some honey and gold fruits. Taste is moderately sweet, lightly bitter, rather astringent with peppery and over stressed yeast.

Minimally cloudy gold/red pour. Thick whitish head. Slightly citrus aroma. Medium bitterness and some slight sourness. Almost salty but not quite. Very slight buttery aftertaste that lingers. It isn’t really my kind of beer.

Pours a pale gold with an off white head, hoppy smell, very smooth and light, hops taste, nice sweet malt with a light hop flavor, very nice smooth finish with a touch of hop bitter, smooth mouth feel.

Bomber at Lakefront. Porued slightly hazy medium amber with a long-lasting, fluffy cap of whitish head. The aroma was sweet overall with great balance between darker fruits and caramel.. yeast was complementary and a bit peppery. The flavor found sweet berries and other fruit at the core, with caramel and a touch of molasses backing. tangy and a bit sharp with berries on the edges.. dry with too much sweetness for my liking in the end. Medium-bodied with nice flow across the palate.. refreshing-ish, but too sweet to fully get there.

Bottle at the brewery: Amber pour with an off white head. Spicy buttery and phenolic aroma. Lots of alcohol in the flavor. Peppery and phenolic with lots of diacetyl. Some bitter fruit skin notes. A bit lacking depth IMO and too buttery.

Pours a deep golden almost red color with a medium head and some lace. The aroma is baguette breadiness with a light toastiness and some herbal hops, pretty well balanced all together. The flavor is some toastiness and a light sweetness, plenty of honey. I don’t know why but the flavor seems odd and maybe a little off. But not necessarily bad.

Pours a dirty amber color with a medium off-white head. Aroma is cereal grains, light citrus and caramel malts. Taste has light belgian spices with some breadiness and biscuit-like malts. I actually enjoyed this.

Thanks for sharing bro. Pros a hazy golden color with medium off-white head. Aroma is of light floral notes, yeast, light citrus hops, and light fruity notes. Taste is light yeast, white grape, light spice and mild clove notes. Carbonation is soft and a little subdued compared to what I want in this style. Not horrible but something I’d pass on if I saw it in the store.

On tap at the GTMW. Murky amber with a thin off-white head. Aroma of toasted malt, caramel and light grassy hops. Taste of caramel, sweet and toasted malt with a caramelly finish. Pretty easy drinking with not too much bitterness.
