Like a Northwest France strong summer ales - quenching and refreshing, but robust enough to match the full-bodied fare of a brasserie. Rendezvous Ale is a hybrid of malty richness and enough hops acidity (Brewer’s Gold, Tradition) to cut through the strong flavors of roasted lapin au moutarde, or a burly beef steak fries.

22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours ruby/amber with a thick, lacy, off-white head. Aroma of pale and light caramel malts, light fruit, some tin, and floral hops. Flavor the same, with something off. Average texture. Might be a bad bottle, or might be a weak American attempt at this style of beer.

Pours deep gold into a tulip. White head with medium retention recedes leaving trailing sheets to mottle surface. Sour meadow aromas. Soft with sweet caramel and decomposing grass upfront turning to a dry earthy finish.

Bomber. Amber with a small bright white head. Aroma of caramel, toffee, light rye, juniper. Lightly bitter, moderately sweet flavor with some light alcoholic burn atop graham cracker and cardboard. Meh.

Bomber bought at Super 1 in CDA, ID. Pours hazy orange with a large-ish beige head with decent retention. Aroma is bready, caramelly, spicy (cinnamon?), a bit of sour funk. Smells a little too malty for me. Taste is sweet (near cloying) and sour, hot alcohol; finishes kind of bitter. I sense some oxidation. Mouthfeel is slick. Seems a little sloppy to me. Unimpressed. Drainpour...I don’t do that often, either.

A good looking beer. Opaque, light brown color and a tall head. Simple yeast in the aroma. Dry malt flavor, with some wet paper. Dry finish, and some alcohol. 2012 vintage.

A cloudy orange pour with a tall white head. Opens with a light fruitiness on the nose. Quite a bit of bread with a touch of caramel, butterscotch, and cardboard. Moderate yeast aroma, maybe a little fruit. The flavor is fairly sweet and malty as well. Lots of bread, caramel, and toffee with some of the same cardboard notes that were present on the nose. Not really a fan of this one.

The aroma is weak but has toasted malt, dark fruit, and light hops. The appearance is orange gold with a small head. The taste is like the aroma. The palate is average. Overall this is good.

Hazy amber orangish color medium tan head lingers a bit some mild lacing... Notes of orange and sweet malts in the aroma... Aroma and flavor don’t match at all... Boring borderline sweet mess malty... Fairly spicy with a mild hint of pepper... Medium to medium full bodied

Pours a hazy orange amber with a medium tan head. Aroma is sweet and malty...caramel and wheaty notes...yeasty with faint candied fruits. Flavor is much more bitter than expected...still some yeastiness and faint fruity/sweet maltiness. Mouthfeel is medium with a muddled fruity/malty/bitter finish.
