Commercial Description:
The rich amber color and caramel flavor of this beer are derived from the generous amount of caramel malt in our recipe, with just a dash of roasted unmalted barley for a subtle toasted flavor in the background. The sweetness, body, and mouth feel tell you that this is an all-malt beer. The finish has a balanced edge of Willamen and Casade hoppiness which cuts through the malty character, leaving a clean palate which beckons for more. Note: the terminology of "stein" refers to the appropriate drinking vessel and not to a type of beer made with hot rocks.

12oz brown bottle from The Lighthouse in Manchester as part of this brewery’s sampler 8-pack. Pours a dark amber with a good half inch or so of off-white head. Smells bready with a fair bit of caramel. Tastes biscuity with strong caramel and chocolate. Medium in body with moderate carbonation. Actually a pretty tasty beer, and pretty damn drinkable. One of this brewery’s better offerings IMO.

Pours a clear glowing copper with a medium thick frothy creamy white head. Sweet toasted caramel malt aroma, toasted honey and a bit sour like wet newspaper. Sweet and toasty malts, seems more crystal than caramel. Sour and metallic, light hop fruitiness and lightly buttery. A nice vienna but not even close to Eliot Ness. Weaker body, watery, soft corse carbonation.

Very nice. Doesn’t quite have the cutting hoppy flavor it advertises, but the maltiness finish isn’t bad, and even though it lingers it doesn’t get stale. Excellent beer.

On tap at miller park. Deep amber color with a thin white head. Dry roasted malty flavor with a hint of chocolate and a light caramel aroma. Go Brewers!

12 oz bottle rich flavor not the best in appearance but makes up in taste taste of fruit and very easy but favorable hop taste. great taste I would buy this beer again. I had the celebration beer before this but this is probably their flagship brew, I like it better.

12oz. bottle. Predominantly malty aroma, plenty of dark caramel sweetness, nut and toasted grain, along with a gently fruity, floral background that shows hints of apple and berry. Clear deep amber color with a very slight, subsiding head. Flavor is lightly bitter and spicy to start, turning malty and somewhat sweet thereafter, with further toasty caramel, breadiness and an herbal, tangy, fruity finish. Smooth and easy-going mouthfeel, body is medium. Very drinkable, tasty and balanced throughout, certainly one of the best of its style.
