Pours a hazy golden color with frothy white head. Aroma is of tart cherry, yeast, horseblanket and brettanomyces. Taste is a bit bold for a sour with notes of green olive bring, sour cherry, aged hops, and light malt. This is quite a beer! The sourness expect is quite nice but I kept getting an olive brine taste in it that lowered the score a bit. Otherwise it’s solid. Thanks for sharing bro!

Petrucci914 (834) - Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA - SEP 12, 2010
Pours a reddish-brown color with a large soapy off-white head which fades rather quickly and leaves a lot of lacing. Aroma is cherries, brett, and plenty of oak. Taste is sour up front, cherry, brett, with lots of oak in the palate. Finishes a little soapy or chlorinated which is a bit of a turn off, but overall very good and surprising.

Tap at Sugar Maple: Reddish copper hue pour with a pinkish white ring. Bright aroma with a mild leathery earthy clausenni note and a hint a cherry. Crisp body with a bright clauseni presence, white oak hint and mild cherry skin. A simple but pleasant sour.

750ml bottle pours a clear, rosy amber with a thin, creamy rose colored head. Nice, cherry, fruity nose, fruit roll ups, perfume, flowers. Flavor is sweet, cherry fruit roll ups, perfume. Finish is medium bodied, sweet.

750mL at the DC tasting. Poured a light, hazy grapefruit juice pinkish peach color with massive, sheety lace abounding. Aroma is overripe kriek: phenols, band-aid, cherry pie trying to peek through. Taste is lemon tart, some plastic off-character, lots of phenols, some medicinal quality. High carbonation. A little astringent.

750 ml bottle at DC local tasting. Cloudy amber color, small off white head. Aroma of sour cherry and vanilla, decent enough funk. Taste is sour, lemon, grapefruit. Nice.

Sampled from the tap at the 2010 GTMW. Poured a hazy pink amber with a gray that lasted. Aroma was full of sour cherries with a slight hint of brett, but quite one note. Flavor had a bit more funk in the start with tart cherries taking over through the finish. The alcohol was covered up completely throughout the beer.

Draft. At the Alchemy over GTOM weekend. Reddish color with slight head. Cherry aroma. Tart cherry notes upfront followed by slow transition to a medicinal taste not unlike bandaids. For 9% you really don’t pick up too much of the alcohol taste. Light mouthfeel.Tasty but the medicinal flavors were kind of a turnoff for me. Would drink again though.

Pours deep red from 750 ml bottle, some funk and cherry smell with a bit of oak in the smell. Taste is mostly oak and funk with a touch of tart and cherry. Not very complex, but a nice, tasty, cheap sour.

Cidery,apple/cherry aroma you can experience the tartness right in the aroma,Brett laden sour way to young cherry flavor, has an odd kindergarden glue aftertaste, certainly interesting enough but several at our table couldnt finish it
