bottle. Dark black pour with thick foamy head. Aroma is absolutely terrible. metallic, sour, coffee, insulting. The flavor is even worse. coffee is present, some mild chocolate. mostly rancid, metallic, sour. This is beyond bad. I had one sip and the rest down the drain. It may be a bad bottle but I have not been impressed with Lakefront in the past.

Bottle. Pours black with a very thin to non existent light brown head. Good coffee/mocha nose. Lots of roasted malts and coffe and chocolate in the taste. I get some smoke as well. Watery on the palate. Stale coffee and tobacco finish. Good until the end.

An interesting stout. Has a little light coffee flavor but really one of the few disappointing beers I had in my 8-pack from Lakefront. A lot malt but still decent.

Black of body with a slender, light brown head, this smells of roasted malts, coffee, and a touch of cola. The latter drops out from the flavor, replaced by the merest allotment of chocolate. Smooth and just a tad watery, this is a decent enough drink.

12oz bottle via trade with Degarth! - Thanks Joe! - Pours black with a nice creamy tan head that stays pretty well and laces the english pint in layers. Aroma of roasted malts and coffee. Flavor is dark roasted malts, and coffee, with a touch of chocolate but not much sweetness. Mostly roasted flavors. Palate is on the watery side for a stout but medium in body. Finish is somewhat dry. Not too bad...

Bottled January, week 4. Poured a deep root beer brown with a towering frothy cara-mocha head. Nose was somewhat subdued, but enjoyable.. with mocha, lightly-roasted coffee, and other dark maltage. Flavor profile was similar, but didn’t carry as much weight... dry roasted coffee and some graininess, mostly. Light-bodied, but not to the point of watery. Bit of a dry, grainy, roasted overall character. Enjoyed it.

Bottle from Beer World of Largo, FL. <P> Aroma is full of roastey and burnt malts. Coffee is big as well and a slight chocolate sweetness. Black with a diminishing two finger thick mocha head. Fore is thin and watery, but some coffee and roasted malt pops out but it, naturally, comes off as watery coffee. Finish is a bit tinny as well, but it has a nice bitterness that lingers and while it needs to be a lot thicker it has the base flavor down...it just needs a lot more concentration of that flavor.
