3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
A roasty Guinness-like stout from the excellent Lakefront Brewery. Quite dry with some coffee notes and a hint of dark chocolate. An enjoyable stout with some noticeable bitterness. Fairly thick. Good.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
the first whif off the bottle i get notes of coffee and malt.Nice dark black color, small tan head that faded quickly leaving little behind. The aroma was as i said malty and coffee with maybe a hint of chocolate and possibly some licorice. The feel is light with a flavor of mild coffee and malt with a thin chocolate coming through.finishing up with a light coffee after taste. Not bad, fairly light and refreshing, not a real strong candidate for the style but still very drinkable brew. Thanks to Jcapriotti for sending this nice brew my way.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Black beer out of the bottle with a thin tan head that faded to a lasting ring. Dark, roasted nose with some mown grass quality to it. Lots of coffee bitterness in the initial taste, with some sweetness coming out in the end. Nice bitterness in the somewhat dry finish. It drifts between coffee and something more green. Nice drinking stout.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Black body with a brown head. Burnt/roasted nutty chocolate aroma. Tastes like a stout. Sort of a smokey burnt nutty flavor with a light sweetness and some piney hints in the middle. I thought it was like a fuller bodied Guiness. Could use a little less carbonation, but overall the body isn't as weak as [I think] Guiness is. It could be said that this is in fact weak bodied, but I liked the fact that it wasn't overly sweet and overpowering.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Black, like a stout (!), thin ring of bubbles around the edges. Body was thin and sweet up front, but became thicker at the finish; full os strong roast flavors with a lingering sweet smokey malt ending.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
Not as much nose as a expected, some malty hints of coffee. Seems over carbonated and the body doesn't match the malt character

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark stout color, and a thin cream head. Aroma is strong on the coffee, and smelled a tad bit skunked when first opened, afterwards it was all quality stout goodness. The palate is not too dry, but noticable, and it still has a good sweetness to it. I think the biggest drawback to this being a dry stout, which I can't argue with its classification, is the fact that is too oily upfront. Granted it still ends with a chalky feel on the tongue. Regardless, for anyone who enjoys the average stout, this won't dissappoint (or excite.)

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Dark color with little head. Upon first sip, it's not what I expected. There was little taste to this beer initially. Snakechaser has a strong coffee aftertaste. In fact, this was as colse to carbonated coffee as I ever want to get. Although it's thin and drinkable, it's certainly not what I'm used to in a Stout. I love almost everything Lakefront brews, but I'll pass on this one next time.
