Lakefront Snake Chaser Irish Stout

12 oz bottle. Pours a deep dark brown/black color with a nice mocha tan head that provides moderate lacing. Aroma is sweet chocolate malt with a slight hint of coffee at the end. Smells very tasty. Flavors range from roasty at times to burnt coffee and chocolate. It has a slight astringency in the beginning that grabs my tongue and tries to mess up the whole sip. It does throw me off a bit but not enough. If you can get by that "pointy-ness" it’s a fairly nice beer. Other than that it has a nice mouthfeel and is a fairly easy drinker.

Pours muddy dark black with an average light brown head. Aroma is mderatly malty or dark bread and toasted malts, lightly hoppy and moderatly yeasty of leather. Flavor starts Balanced twords bitter, roasty flavors prodominate and continues till the finish. Light to medium bodied, creamy and lively carbonated. Its just ok.

Bottle. Poured a nice black body. Aroma is light roast. some sourness. Flavor is lightly sour, choclate, roast and some diacytl. Very thin.

Bottled. Weird stout. Everything seemed normal except this odd sourness to the aroma and flavour. The normal notes of coffee, chocolate and roasted malt were there, but masked by the sour tones.

Poured an opaque dark brown with a small tan head that disappeared quickly. The initial aroma was that of sawdust or a freshly cut pine 2 x 4 on a power saw. The beer was very dry and acidic. My initial thought was a bad batch that had soured. I was a trooper and finished the bottle, but it wasn’t enjoyable at all

12 oz. bottle from Plaza Liquors - Pours a dark brown color with a one and a 1/4 finger thick tan head. Very little lacing. Aroma is roasted malt, cocoa, and light coffee. Flavor is chocolate and roasted malt. Has an odd aftertaste to it. Mouthfeel is a tad thin. Not bad.

12 oz. Two-finger head that tries to last. Char, caramel, and dry wood aroma. Tastes of char, cocoa, caramel, lactose, and green spicy herb. Medium-heavy body is watery, acidic tingly, and dry.

The bottle pours nearly black with a smallish tan dissipating head. Aroma of soy sauce and soggy grain, corn. with mild chocolatey overtones. The flavor is a little strange,tangy chocolate with sparse roasted bitterness. Medium bodied with adequate carb, but it doesn’t impress or welcome me.
