For a stout its not that strong, or heavy, I was expecting more from this beer! Pours a dark color that almost looks black with a huge head that disapears quickly, but the way it looks is nothing like it tastes. It really didnt taste like anything. Sadly to say I see it as the Busche light of stouts, but still a good beer none the less!

12oz. Poured dark brown with not much head. Malt and coffee to the nose. Thin body and dry to the finish. Not too bad but could have been better.

The color is dark amber with a tint of red. The nose is a nice roasted malts with hints of toffee and coffee, notes of hops and yeast. The taste is sorta muted. the nose provided more than the taste. The beer seem watery and faint a clean and easy finish. overall it is okay

Pours a light amber/black with a smallish dissipating tan head. Faint toffee, chocolate aroma. Flavor is very subdued although a nice malty backbone is apparent. Watery texture. Not a terrible beer, just not one of Lakefronts best.

Decent brew with good roasted malts. Little light on hops and body. Not sweet!

Bottle, some roast notes and milk chocolate, a weird flavor, some where between cheese and chemicals, quite off putting, that was the first bottle the second was not really any better, maybe a bad batch not sure but I would not buy it again. Also rather watery as well.

Had this beer on 4/29/2006. Aroma is a sweet roasted malt scent. Color is a deep black with a tight brown head and good carbonation. Taste is smooth and sweet. Starting with a full body it goes down with a smooth feel. Finish comes in with a easy sharp bite from a roasted malt flavor then end with a mild sweet taste. Its ok to drink but is nothing special.

Bottle. Pitch black colour with a nice head. Nice aroma of milk chocolate, roastedness and very smooth. Flavour of grass, roastedness and little dry with a bitter finish.
