It was damn tasty, so I had 2 pints of it (needeed one to wash down the bad Pumpkin beer). beervana (781), Libertyville, Illinois, USA

Pours brown-black with tiny off-white head and no discernable carbonation. Roasted malt aroma. Medium bodied stout that starts dry with tiny malt sweetness and dried fruit (prune?)/expresso/roasted malt flavors. Finishes dry with roasted malt flavor and bitterness fade. Flavorful and smooth. A very good dry stout. craftbeerdesign (773), Alpharetta, Georgia, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 3/5 | 3/10 | 2/5 | 9/20 | Jul 6, 2007 not worth much at all.... hardly any aroma and very carbonated on the palate.... kinda tangy or sour. just not that good.... probably the worst stout I’ve ever had. | 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 12/20 | Apr 21, 2007 Bottle.Pours with a black color and not much of a head. Bodys too thin for a dry stout. Aromas of roasted malts. Flvors of coffee and a bit of hoppy bitterness. Not too impressed by this one. BigBen2120 (688), Derry, New Hampshire, USA
| 4.1 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 8/10 | 4/5 | 9/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Mar 23, 2008 12oz bottle from The Lighthouse in Manchester. Pours an opaque black body with a half inch of tan head. Smells roasty, with hints of coffee, chocolate, and a suggestion of date. Tastes roasty - baker’s chocolate and coffee along with nut toward the finish. Medium to full mouthfeel with moderate carbonation that helps keep this an easy drinker. One of the tastiest dry stouts I’ve had thus far. I’m impressed. haukur (684), Reykjavik, Iceland

This was deep into the night in my marathon session .. a bit thin and straight forward brew. Some roastness, sugar and some tiny mocha in the finish .. blend mcox90 (661), Wilton, USA
| 1.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 2/10 | 4/5 | 2/10 | 3/5 | 8/20 | May 27, 2008 12 oz bottle served in a shaker pint. Poured a nice dark brown with a 1/2" beige head. So far so good. Then I stuck my nose in the glass. This stuff smells like nasty sweaty feet. Not to be driven off, I then took my first sip, sour, metallic, fetid, rotten, etc. I can no longer say I’ve never met a stout I didn’t like. I did drink the whole thing. I’m a trooper if nothing else, cheap too. I have another one too! Trades anyone. All kidding aside, I noticed that I am the 7th bad rating in a row. Maybe a bad batch out there? noncaloric (639), Madison, Wisconsin, USA
