A light brown head with a black body. The aroma is light caramel and coffee. There is also a little bit of milk chocolate. The taste has some burnt day old cheap, nasty coffee. There is also a little bit of nasty grass. Wow, this is pretty terrible.

Picked up a six pack at Blue Nile in Burnsville, Minnesota. Pours a clear dark brown brew with a thick light beige head that has some excellent retention and lacing. Aroma of toasted dark malt, chocolate, coffee and light molasses with some flowery hops. Taste is medium to full bodied, light carbonation with a toasted dark malt with some slight blue cheese flavor. Finish is slightly dry with some metallic character with a lingering toasted malt aftertaste.

Bottled January, week 4. Poured a deep root beer brown with a towering frothy cara-mocha head. Nose was somewhat subdued, but enjoyable.. with mocha, lightly-roasted coffee, and other dark maltage. Flavor profile was similar, but didn’t carry as much weight... dry roasted coffee and some graininess, mostly. Light-bodied, but not to the point of watery. Bit of a dry, grainy, roasted overall character. Enjoyed it.

Draft at Barcade. Pours a black body with a tan head. Dry sweet light minerals and chocolate notes. Very dry a bit boring and thin with a light coffee and earth finish.

Bottle. Average creamy light brown head that mostly lasted. Excellent lacework was displayed. Black color. Aroma of chocolate, coffee, toasted malty notes. Medium bodied with a soft carbonation and light dry texture. Moderated sweet flavor with light bitter notes. Sweet coffee like finish.

Dark brown or black color with an initially medium tan head, but it quickly vanishes. Burnt malt flavor and aroma. A bit sour and dry. It's a little thin and reminds me more of a mediocre porter than of a stout. Not bad, but certainly not special.

Tap at Barcade. Pours a deep brownish black with a thin head. Aroma is nutty, toasty, chocolate and light roastyness- slight herbal and a bit DMS. Roasty, with some coffee, a bit stale though in the flavor- some bittersweet chocolate- herbs, earth, toasty, and a bit thin drinking. Meh.

Bottle poured a translucent dark brown with a minimal lingering tan head. Aromas of roasted malt, dark chocolate, coffee and a hint of vanilla. Light to medium bodied and crisp. Flavors of roasted malt, coffee and light dark chocolate with a smooth lightly dry moderatly bitter finish.
