Bottle shared by Bill at recent tasting. Thanks!
Pours a dark brown to black color with a light tan head. Smell is moderately smoky, roasty and sweet. Taste is pretty mild, but with a roasty tartness and didn’t come across too much like a stout, though. BIt thin, and medium carbonation. Not great, or to style, but drinkable.

12oz. Poured dark brown with not much head. Malt and coffee to the nose. Thin body and dry to the finish. Not too bad but could have been better.

Pours black, brownish/beige head. Aroma is roasted, cofee, light notes of dark fruits. Taste was a little weak. Part of the beer remidned me of the Fuel Cafe that also had a weak finish. Cofee roastiness floral taste, fruity and lightly hoppy, chocolat malts. Decent dry stout.

Bottle purchased at local Liquor store. Nice coffee color.Very moderate head, coffee tones are also present on the palate, malty flavored, with a slight chocolate hint.bitter on the finish.A nice combination of flavors, could be chewier for a stout.

Black. Nose has typical coffee bitterness, some sweetness. Flavor is quite roasty, bit of burnt wood, bitter chocolate, and coffee.

Very dark brown, nearly black in color with a thin tan head. Aroma is almost purely cheap black coffee when its cold, but warms to unveil a little roasty malt character. Body is somewhat thin and very dry with a bitter burnt coffee finish. Too much burnt flavor here and not enough malty thickness or balance.

Pours a light amber/black with a smallish dissipating tan head. Faint toffee, chocolate aroma. Flavor is very subdued although a nice malty backbone is apparent. Watery texture. Not a terrible beer, just not one of Lakefronts best.

(Bottled WK2 Feb 2008) A nice everyday stout that satisfies on most levels. It is nice and lightish in body and the alcohol level seems pretty low also. Quick and highly drinkable without getting too bitter with roasted barley.
