Bottled. Weird stout. Everything seemed normal except this odd sourness to the aroma and flavour. The normal notes of coffee, chocolate and roasted malt were there, but masked by the sour tones.

Bottle shared by Bill at recent tasting. Thanks!
Pours a dark brown to black color with a light tan head. Smell is moderately smoky, roasty and sweet. Taste is pretty mild, but with a roasty tartness and didn’t come across too much like a stout, though. BIt thin, and medium carbonation. Not great, or to style, but drinkable.

Pours black, brownish/beige head. Aroma is roasted, cofee, light notes of dark fruits. Taste was a little weak. Part of the beer remidned me of the Fuel Cafe that also had a weak finish. Cofee roastiness floral taste, fruity and lightly hoppy, chocolat malts. Decent dry stout.

Crushed with Jakebra at the brewery. Mouthfeel is the big compliment for this beer. Otherwise, it’s kinda lacking in all other aspects. Let down.

Bottle born during the 3rd week of January. Pours very, very dark brown with no real head at all. The aroma is dry with earth and black chocolate. Some lactic sourness is also detected. Mouthfeel is par for the dry stout course. Again, we’ve got dark chocolate and some earth in the body. A fair level of lactic sourness is present from start to finish and that just undoes the whole thing for me. I can slow sip this one to get through the glass while I grill, but I probably won’t be coming back to this one.

12 oz bottle. Pours a deep dark brown/black color with a nice mocha tan head that provides moderate lacing. Aroma is sweet chocolate malt with a slight hint of coffee at the end. Smells very tasty. Flavors range from roasty at times to burnt coffee and chocolate. It has a slight astringency in the beginning that grabs my tongue and tries to mess up the whole sip. It does throw me off a bit but not enough. If you can get by that "pointy-ness" it’s a fairly nice beer. Other than that it has a nice mouthfeel and is a fairly easy drinker.
