3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Ughsmash (5836) - Waukesha, USA - JUL 13, 2010
Bomber. Poured hazy peachy-amber with a nice cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up bright, kind of sour peach and apricot kernels, with floral and earthy accents.. some toffee and caramel sweetened it up a tad on the back.. interesting, but not necessarily enjoyable. The flavor found medium-skinned fruit meat and lesser related skin tartness at the core.. more of that tartness extended outward, really drying out the palate.. bitterness was moderate and rather fresh, again showcasing floral and earthy character.. finished a little grainy, with nothing I haven’t mentioned. Medium-bodied and again dry on the palate.. persistent tartness throughout the drink.. sticky right at the end. This didn’t really do anything (other than get me $4 off museum admission) that makes me want to go back for more.

One of the worst beers I have had from Lakefront. Lightly sweet malt, but virtually no flavor or aroma but just some grain.

1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 crossovert (2791) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 14, 2011
There is a subtle hoppiness, but it is rather sweet, and not much else. It seems like a 1 off for a special event and Lakefront didn’t take too much time in making the recipe perfect.
3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 nuplastikk (2615) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 14, 2011
22oz bottle direct from the brewery. Unfiltered amber-brown color. Big foamy head. Standard amber aroma. Watery body, typical of Lakefront product. Really just screams bland. Some decent malt tones, but a super conservative hop bill keeps it standard at best. Pretty decent, above par for Lakefront, below par for a craft brew. Bland, super faint hoppy nothingness.
