COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wheat Monkey Ale captures the fresh, unfiltered spontaneity of our brewers’ creativity. Crisp and refreshing year-round, this American Wheat Ale pours a lazy, hazy golden color. Its large, white, foamy head can be attributed to the generous amount of malted white wheat added to the mash. The aroma is enhanced by our fruity house ale yeast and its fresh baked bread flavors are perfectly balanced with a Cascade hop addition.

Aroma is grainy, wheat, bit of malt. Appearance is golden apricot. Almost clear. Taste is wheat forward. Some mild fruitiness. Palate is light and crisp. Overall a good beer. Reminds me of a Kolsch more than an anything.

Pours hazy gold with a small white head. Aroma is wheat, grass and a faint hint of citrus. Taste is sweet with a somewhat Citric acidity. Smooth and light, very easy to drink. Just not much going on here....good for a day out in the sun.

Pours a thin light orange with fizzy white head. Not much going on- a bit of wheat a bit of grass pretty reserved. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Mild grassy aroma, with just a hint of wheat behind it. Pours a hazy straw-yellow, with a thin white head. Interesting flavor, banana, clove, and grassy hops all fighting each other. This is light on the palate, and while drinkable, feels that the flavors aren’t meshing well together.

4/20/12. 12oz bottle. Hazy golden pour with a small off-white head that fades fast and laces in small rings. Plain aroma of old grains, a hint of fruity bubblegum, and some orange. Sweet, orange flavor with touches of soft wheat and light bread. Eh.

Pours a golden hazy color. Nose is grainy and light. Metallic tasting, flat and boring. Good to quaff down when you are really parched, otherwise no taste than no use. Horrible after taste. Leave it for the monkeys, not me. Quaff Score 3 / 10

Pours a clear golden yellow with a white head and aroma of wheat and grain. Not a whole lot of taste in this one, mainly subtle wheat and grain, watery. Refreshing and light brew but not much taste or anything else going for it.

Draft on tap at the brewery (Milwaukee, WI). Pours a hazy orange gold hue, a bit dulled overall and murky with a tiny offwhite head that dies to nothing, laces not really at all. Aromas are zesty, touches of fruit and flaked wheat, doughy bready malts, touches of yeast, mellow fruity qualities throw a touch of banana and orange peel. Initial is lighter bodied, offering sweeter bread, flaked wheat, and flashes of fruit and orange peel. Middle shows more spice and yeast, wet bread dough. Fruit comes a bit more in the finish leaving a mellow spice and orange feel zesty backend. Not bad, a bit forgettable as far as the style is concerned. A bit muttled without a defining flavor but nothing offensive. Still, I’d have it again as it’s not bad, just average.

Bottle pours hazy yellow with a white head. Aroma is grainy and dusty with a touch of cardboard. This one actually made me double check the date of the mixpack. Flavor is wheat bread, light citrus, banana, and pepper. Overall body is light and the finish is lightly bitter.
