Floral, grapefruit nose, same on the taste with the addition of heavy coriander and orange. Quenching and wet, but light carbonation. TheBeerLover (1019), DC Metro Area, USA
| 3.6 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 4/5 | 6/10 | 4/5 | 16/20 | Feb 5, 2007 12 oz bottle. Pours to a hazy, deep golden color, with a thick, creamy, white head, and a good carbonation. The nose on this one is very nice, with good spicy aromas of coriander, and aromas of orange peel. The palate is tart, and thirst quenching, with good pale and wheat malt flavors, with a nice back drop flavor of sweet orange. This beer finishes with more good tart wheat flavor up front, then ends with some spicy coriander flavor, and lingers with flavors of orange peel. Nice, drinkable, witbier, with good aromas and flavors. Not a stellar example of the style, but a nice attempt, and a beer that would work well with a number of dishes. I liked this one. guzzler67 (1277), Hanover, Maryland, USA
| 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 7/10 | 4/5 | 15/20 | Jan 28, 2007 Golden amber appearance with an average size white head and little lacing. Muted aroma; decently spiced, some citrus fruit, with a faint whiff of vinegar. Flavors of lemon, wheat, coriander and clove. Medium bodied, well carbonated mouthfeel. Crisp, dry, medium length finish. Slick (1962), Thief River Falls, Minnesota, USA
| 2.9 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 7/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 2/5 | 12/20 | Nov 24, 2006 Hazy golden color, small white head that faded quickly leaving nothing behind. The aroma was mildly spicy with a bit of a wheaty side. The flavor was fairly weak, some decent spice i guess does show through but the wheat side is nothing special some faint bannana hints and a slight hop showing in the end to go with a mild spicy side.Nothing special but it does the trick for a cheap price. beerstar (19), Reston, Virginia, USA
| 2.7 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 5/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 3/5 | 11/20 | Nov 21, 2006 Out of the bottle. Not what I expected. It tastes like instead of orange peel and corriander they used orange peel and lemon peel. It’s like a hefe with the citrus already added. I don’t lemon my Hefe’s. | 3.5 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 5/10 | 4/5 | 17/20 | Nov 3, 2006 One of Lakefront’s better beers and available all over the Milwaukee area. A bit high on the carbanation side and a bit too lemony. However, good spicey character to it from the orange and coriander that just barely makes an appearance. This leads to a nice wheat note that produces a pleasant mouthfeel. Not bad, but could be a bit better balanced. vyvvy (2034), Hazelwood, Missouri, USA
| 3.2 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 14/20 | Sep 14, 2006 Pours lightly hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is lemony citrus with coriander. Medium to light body with only a little carbonation. Taste has lemon and wheat, the finish has more of the same with some spiciness added in. This is fairly simple and one dimensional - its not bad, but there is not that much to it. The bottle is dated as being bottle 5 months ago, it doesn’t seem like this style should lose too much in that time period, but if I have the chance to rerate with a fresher bottle I will. | 3.3 | Aroma | Appearance | Flavor | Palate | Overall | | 6/10 | 3/5 | 6/10 | 3/5 | 15/20 | Aug 2, 2006 Bottled, from the brewery. As my reviews have said "Belgian Style" anything is a great way to get me to consider PBR. This isn’t bad though. The initial pour is clear, but it clouds up quickly to a thick and mostly opaque straw color. Strong nose, it goes from "beer" (rice, corn, and hops) to "citrusy" very quickly. Mild flavor. I really want a poster sized version of that label! <!-- --
