Commercial Description:
Brewed in the style of a Belgian Wit. A special blend of coriander, orange zest and unmalted wheat help to make this a remarkably refreshing summer beer.

Pours lightly hazy yellow with a small white head. Aroma is lemony citrus with coriander. Medium to light body with only a little carbonation. Taste has lemon and wheat, the finish has more of the same with some spiciness added in. This is fairly simple and one dimensional - its not bad, but there is not that much to it. The bottle is dated as being bottle 5 months ago, it doesn’t seem like this style should lose too much in that time period, but if I have the chance to rerate with a fresher bottle I will.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy yellow color with a large yellow-white head. The aroma was dry, musty, slightly spicy and had a light citrus element. The flavor was dry, bitter and a little tart with a musty and peppery undertone and a hint of citrus and cardboard. The finish was short. Decent.

Brilliant clear straw color with a fleeting head. Grassy herbal nose with coriander. Medium body and smooth. Nice tart wheat flavor here with hints of citrus fruit, coriander, and grassy hops mirrors the aroma. Not too bad. 387

This ber is pretty blah in my mind. A light off yellow color w/ a large white head w/ some decent lacing. Aroma of nutmeg bread and some malts. The palate is a bi to thin and the flavor is of nutmeg covered bannana. I’m not a big fan.

Lightly hazy golden in color with a small off white head. Aroma: orange peel, belgian yeast, coriander, and light wheat. Taste is not quite as bright as some I’ve had but was still pretty nice- some tangy wheat, orange peel, spice, and some bready and earthy yeast. Medium bodied for the style. Light hop bitterness in the finish.

Hazy golden color, small white head that faded quickly leaving nothing behind. The aroma was mildly spicy with a bit of a wheaty side. The flavor was fairly weak, some decent spice i guess does show through but the wheat side is nothing special some faint bannana hints and a slight hop showing in the end to go with a mild spicy side.Nothing special but it does the trick for a cheap price.

bottle-purchased at Woodmans, Madison, WI-pours an apricot hue with a white head-sudsy and soapy looking. very hazzy. big corriander, lemon zest and orange peal aroma. WOW, talk about orange predominating the flavors. The flavors are sour and mostly the orange with a little lemon twist. This beer was not bottle conditioned so it probably broke down over the course of 6 months. This was not good, but the ratings show its a respectible wit, so i may have to re-rate this one.
