Wisconsinite: the most Wisconsin beer ever! Made with 100% Wisconsin-grown malted barley, wheat, and hops, including a unique, first-of-its-kind, never before fermented, indigenous Wisconsin yeast strain. It pours a hazy, unfiltered, straw color with a fine white head. The mild clove, banana, and citrus aromas from the Wisconsin yeast go well with the malty sweetness and fresh baked wheat bread flavors. With its light body and lively effervescence, Wisconsinite is a refreshing summer session beer.

This is an exceptional hefe. If you’ve ever had a Paulaner or Hacker Pschoor then you will like this. Mild cinnamon, banana and clove aroma - not overwhelming but sufficient. Pours good with a fluffy head. Tastes just like the aroma, very good. Goes down very smooth with mild citrus aftertaste. Very good hefe.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle, bottled on April 24, 2014, poured into a weizen glass. Pours hazy pale golden with small white head. Aroma is tart wheaty citrus, medium/light body, lower carbonation, and some big bubble lacing. Taste is tart wheaty citrus (mostly grapefruit), wheat and crisp hops. Different, but one I would go back to.

bottle @ John’s Grocery / Iowa City IA --- Hazy golden amber color with hyndreds of tiny rising bubbles, huge rocky white head, light splashes of lace. Taste is slightly sour malt and spices that move without incident to a little bittering in the finish. Seems like some banana and yeast try to step in late in the palate, but there are none of the other flavors the brewer describes. Maybe it’s not fresh...

On tap, poured into a plastic sampler glass. Strong aromas of the traditional banana and clove, with some honey, bread, and a touch of lemon cleanser. It pours a slightly hazy, pale yellow which retains only a thin white ring of head with a clear surface. It’s head is dense and leaves an abundant micro-bubble lace. The taste is a nice blend of medium sweetness and a light bitterness. The texture is waxy with a light, pillow like carbonation and a medium body. Lemon, and spice finish it off. It’s dry, clean, with a light clove aftertaste.

Pours a hazy, carbonated yellow with a thin white head. Gentle and pleasing aroma consists of wheat, banana, spices, and very mild orange and lemon. The taste has quite a bit of tartness. It is big on lemon and wheat. The other elements of yeast and banana serve as lighter undertones. The aftertaste is strong yet short with plenty of lemon. This one is light in body, with a thin and sticky texture, with about average carbonation. Nothing to complicated here. Its a solid summer beer.

[Bottle] Clear yellow pour with little head but decent lacing on the glass. I was surprised to see no yeast/sediment at all in the bottle considering this beer is billed as unfiltered. Lemon peel and sweet wheat malts in the nose. Light fruits, wheat malt and refreshing citrus notes linger throughout the taste. No clove or banana detectable. Good body and low carbonation for the style. I would classify this as a good American Wheat.

Pours a very cloudy bright yellow with nice light white head. Banana, clove, wheat, and citrus come through on the nose and follow onto the palate. Unfiltered, so you get a good amount of chewiness on this for a great mouthfeel. One of my favorite Wisconsin summer beers. Very sessionable.

Very refreshing. Not much thickness in the shape and nice aroma. Quite golden and smooth.
