Wisconsinite: the most Wisconsin beer ever! Made with 100% Wisconsin-grown malted barley, wheat, and hops, including a unique, first-of-its-kind, never before fermented, indigenous Wisconsin yeast strain. It pours a hazy, unfiltered, straw color with a fine white head. The mild clove, banana, and citrus aromas from the Wisconsin yeast go well with the malty sweetness and fresh baked wheat bread flavors. With its light body and lively effervescence, Wisconsinite is a refreshing summer session beer.

Bottle - fair size foamy head, mildly hazy pale yellow color, very mild yeasty spice aroma and flavor, sweet wheat backbone, expected a little better to be honest ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Aroma is the best thing here and itís just a milder version of its Bavarian cousins. Body is a bit thin as is appearance. I saw no hefetrub and so that component was missing from the flavor.

Bottle from World Beer Market via Rakuten served in my Weizen glass. It is a light gold with a bright white head of soapy foam. The nose is sweet & fruity grape with just the smallest hints of cloves. Light bodied, the taste is chewey spicy wheat, fruits and a bit of cloves. As it warms up it gets a strong vegetal(celery) & peppery character. OK.

Bottle from Sake Taniguchi (World Beer Market). Moderate floral nose, wheat, light banana. Very pale, little head (for a wheat beer). Thin wheaty initial, just a little spice and some small citurs. Thin body. Okay. A bit watery. Doesnít really have the body or the yeast bite of a hefeweizen.

Cloudy yellow/gold color; Light to medium slightly creamy body; Aroma of wheat, hay/grain, & citrus; Flavor of wheat, yeast, citrus, and some grain; Finish is somewhat tangy; Not very hefeweizen like.

UPDATED: DEC 31, 2015 This is a watered-down hefe. Mild cinnamon, banana and clove aroma - not overwhelming and barely sufficient. Pours average with a fluffy head. Tastes similar to the aroma, only more mild. Goes down smooth with mild citrus aftertaste, too much carbonation. Below average hefe but drinkable if no other options.

Refrigerated 12 oz. brown bottle, bottled on April 24, 2014, poured into a weizen glass. Pours hazy pale golden with small white head. Aroma is tart wheaty citrus, medium/light body, lower carbonation, and some big bubble lacing. Taste is tart wheaty citrus (mostly grapefruit), wheat and crisp hops. Different, but one I would go back to.

bottle @ Johnís Grocery / Iowa City IA --- Hazy golden amber color with hyndreds of tiny rising bubbles, huge rocky white head, light splashes of lace. Taste is slightly sour malt and spices that move without incident to a little bittering in the finish. Seems like some banana and yeast try to step in late in the palate, but there are none of the other flavors the brewer describes. Maybe itís not fresh...
