COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wisconsinite: the most Wisconsin beer ever! Made with 100% Wisconsin-grown malted barley, wheat, and hops, including a unique, first-of-its-kind, never before fermented, indigenous Wisconsin yeast strain. It pours a hazy, unfiltered, straw color with a fine white head. The mild clove, banana, and citrus aromas from the Wisconsin yeast go well with the malty sweetness and fresh baked wheat bread flavors. With its light body and lively effervescence, Wisconsinite is a refreshing summer session beer.

Lakefront Wisconsinite Summer Weiss is disappointing considering the brewery. I like all the beers from Lakefront, but this one just doesn’t measure up. Pour is an expected cloudy yellow with a white fluffy head. Aroma is very light yeast. Taste is also a very light banana-cloves and it disappears quickly. There is nothing to stimulate the palate. Not sure what happened to this beer, but Wisconsinite won’t be on my regular list.

12 oz. bottle. Pale golden color with a small white head. Aroma of banana and clove, mild citrus notes. Flavor is nice, light, spritzy. Nice banana, clove, and pineapple notes. Nice, spritzy mouthfeel. Finishes on a refreshing fruity note. Very nice, impressive summer beer.

This rating may be more about my preferences then about the beer - not to my taste. Overall, just too sweet , without enough other characteristics to overide that sweetness.

Pours hazy yellow with a minimal head at best. Aroma is lemon, citrus, and a bit of clove and banana. The taste is sweet with a bit of a tart finish. Overall a very refreshing hefeweizen and I would enjoy many more

Draft at Sieberts pub. Orange and clear. Dank and earthy fruit taste. Not a fan of hefe and this is another example why

This one poured with a dark amber color and a short lasting head for a Weizen. I think I bought it fresh from Binnys. Anyway, typical grainy malt with clove, banana, and citrus as advertised, with a lingering hop note and aftertaste. Not my favorite weizen, but OK.

low unassuming aroma with big flavor full of banana some clove and sugar. bit of a surprise the beer has a lingering finish that keeps you back for more. soulful with that low abv? seems a feat to have a nice American session Belgian. good body with wheat and a bit of tang.

Tap at Sugar Maple. Hyper yeasty and thick, like the end of the keg..but its not. Yeast forward all the way, tolerable in a Lakefront way. Pretty much a big, overstated American Wheat. Creamy, medium bodied, some clove action. A touch dirty still. OK.

(Bottle) Overall a very nice Hefeweizen. Hazy and unfiltered golden yellow complexion with thick white head. Nice lemon citrus flavor with the yeast and wheat. However, there must be something wrong with my batch because it overly foams. When poured it looked like an exothermic reaction was taking place as it erupted like a volcano out of the Weissen glass.

UPDATED: JUN 1, 2013 Bottle: Color: Hazy Orange. Aroma: Smoke/ Wood/ Campfire. Flavor: Tastes of banana, spices, wheat and yeast. Great balance of flavor. Sweetness to tangy ratio absolutlely perfect. Refreshing and very satisfying, overall very good choice.
