COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Wisconsinite: the most Wisconsin beer ever! Made with 100% Wisconsin-grown malted barley, wheat, and hops, including a unique, first-of-its-kind, never before fermented, indigenous Wisconsin yeast strain. It pours a hazy, unfiltered, straw color with a fine white head. The mild clove, banana, and citrus aromas from the Wisconsin yeast go well with the malty sweetness and fresh baked wheat bread flavors. With its light body and lively effervescence, Wisconsinite is a refreshing summer session beer.

Pour is orange/dark gold with a huge frothy head. aroma is nice light yeasty banana and fruit. some caramel and spice as well. Nice banana and clove flavour, though not as pronounced as a lot of german hefs, it is still very identifiable. hint of banana foster/malt sweetness through the middle. Finish is light with a hint of yeast and clove. A pleasant surprise!!

Super hazy golden coloured body with a dense, very very fast-dying white head with not much movement. Aroma of pale malt, wheat, light coriander seed, corn and a bit of yeast. Light-bodied; Assertive wheatie flavour with a coriander seed freshness, a bit of wheat and yeast notes and some corn tucked in the mixture with a light sugar flavour. Aftertaste light and relatively mild with a bit of yeast noticeable, some light sugars, a touch of alcohol and a very pleasant, smooth wheat finish. Overall, a nice wheat with a good summer lightness and a good flavour profile that isn’t weak at all. A nice beer that everyone should try if you can find it! I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased from Liqour Outlet in Boonton, New Jersey on 09-September-2012 for US$1.35 sampled at home in Washington on 23-September-2012.

Bonus courtesy of GhostFace. The 12oz bottle pours fairly opaque pale yet deep gold with copper core and thin bright white head. The aroma has some nice coriander and clove like spiciness with a bit of bubble gum and pepper. The taste is enhanced by a decent level of carbonation pushing up some mild black pepper notes, cloves, a bit of bubble gum and then grainy like malts. It smooths out into the finish leaving bubble gum and a sliver of clove lingering into the after taste. Nice summer brew.

Rubbish! As soon as I pulled the bottle from the case and saw it was filtered crystal clear I didn't get my hopes up for this one. I expected a nice cloudy haze, but I decided to give it an honest evaluation. Some brews turn out to surprise me. This was not one of them... The pour was weak with a skinny, little head, and no retention. It fizzled away quickly, and left no lace. Just clear beer. Off yellowish color, scant nose of banana and spice, maybe a bit of barn funk. First couple sips were acceptable with flavor of standard banana, clove, spices, hint of lemon. Palate was thin and full of tiny bubbles. As I continued to drink the flavor went south. An odd "off", skunky sour flavor began to build. By the time I got to the last 2 or 3 inches in the bottle I was trying to force it down. I decided I was done with it and dumped it. Perhaps I got one that was off. I'll try it again, but I believe it's just stale and weak from the start. Not one I'll want to try again. -Fish!

Bottle. Pours a nice hazy pale golden color with a thin white head. Wonderful yeasty bready wheat aroma here; thanks to the all new Wisconsin yeast strain. It’s what this beer is all about. Banana and clove notes are a bit subdued for the style (which I like). Highly carbonated with a light somewhat creamy mouthfeel. This is what the local food movement is all about. Lets hope more brewers experiment with this idea and use this new yeast. I could imagine some wonderful things coming out of this.

Pours a hazy straw gold with a huge overflowing fluffy white head (despite some fairly gentle pouring) that has great retention. Aroma is banana, wheat, clove, cereal, bready yeast, perfumey floral notes, light spice and citrus. Flavor is wheat, banana, clove, dusty citrus, salt, spicy and floral hops, odd, berry-like fruity note and spicy and floral hops to the finish. Palate is light to medium bodied, with a creamy, but chalky feel throughout. Not bad overall. It’s nice to see more American made Hefe’s rather than the usual dishwater Wheat Ales.

On tap at Old Fashioned, pours a hazy dark golden with a thin white head, aroma has notes of clove and banana, not as pronounced as I would have likes but decent, the flavor is of strong banana and bubblegum the entire way through, light mouthfeel, actually pretty darn nice.

Enjoyed at GTMW 2012. Pours a creamy gold with a medium white head. Smells of citrus and wheat. Creamy wheat flavor with a hint of orange with a smooth cream finish. This is one of my favorite summer beers this year.
