2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 jerc (5591) - Toronto, - AUG 6, 2005
Yellow body, small white head. Muted sweet grainy aroma. Sweetish flavour, muted bitterness. Chemicallish finish, average to thin palate. Not particularly tasty, but if you like light beers this isn’t the worst one I have had either.
1.9 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 9/20 Metalchopz (1429) - Quebec, CANADA - SEP 14, 2011
Originally rated May 2006. Lakeport Light is $24 for 24 bottle (before deposit and taxes). It pours a normal golden lager colour with a white foamy head that dissipates fast enough. One bubble at a time carbonation and very mild soapy lace. Decent aromas, found in a normal lager (5% ABV). Watery mouthfeel. Starts off with some light malt flavour and very slim corn comes out in the aftertaste. An unexpensive, unoffensive light brew, and great for the hockey playoffs.
1.3 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 4/20 ontbeermaker (1406) - Ontario, CANADA - OCT 5, 2010
typical light beer, little flavour, goes down pretty easy, would drink if nothing else was around
0.9 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 3/20 duckdown (72) - GTA, Ontario, CANADA - MAR 14, 2010
Tall cans, and 6packs readily available at LCBO or Beer Store locations.
Cannot really imagine why anybody would ever buy this stuff, basically just watered down Lakeport which is already like drinking carbonated water.
No real smell, look, or taste to it. I guess the one thing it has going for it is that theres nothing noticably offensive about it. It’s just... nothing.
0.8 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 1/20 Papillon (283) - Sudbury, Ontario, CANADA - MAY 13, 2009
473 mL Can. Pale straw body with a large fizzy white head that settles to a foamy layer leaving some lace. Aroma is corn husk, wet hay, and musty basement. Corn dominates in the flavor along with corn husk, hay, eau de Hamilton Harbor, little to no aftertaste, and an unpleasant bitter phenolic / chemical / skunky finish. "Premium Light Beer", eh! I can’t bait my hook with that; I’ll leave the rest of my pint to the carps that live in Hamilton Harbor.

0.6 AROMA 1/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 2/20 JesseM (944) - Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 20, 2009
473ml can from the LCBO. One asks, ’why’? I would answer, ’I know not...’. Anyways, pours a very pale, excessively effervescent yellow with a large frothy head. Smells like industrialized corn, cooked vegetables, all the usual Lakeport horribleness. The flavour is surprising in that it actually defies expectations of crap and takes it to a whole new level (a lower one). Sour, tart, salty, overly fizzy, generally very unpleasant. Good God. Even for Lakeport drinkers this stuff is pathetic. I don’t even think my sink drain liked it.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 mabel (4405) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUN 11, 2008
[1208-20080318] 473mL can. Corny grain field grass aroma with a hint of light floral hay. Clear, pale orange yellow body with a medium-lasting foamy white head. Watery crushed corn flavour. Watery light body, tinge of astringency. Not horrible for a light but not exactly enjoyable either.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 JohnBarleycorn (537) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 21, 2008
Bottle. Light gold. Faint grain and cheap malt aroma and flavour. Over-carbonated palate dominates the experience, leading to a watery and mild bitter finish. Not hideous, and works only as a last resort.
1.8 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 blankboy (4454) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - DEC 4, 2007
Bottle. Pours a bubbly pale gold with an average size somewhat-lasting white head -- doesn’t look too bad for a cheap Ontario Pale Lager. Aroma’s corny and sweet along with some grain but there is a hint of hops there, it’s not great but I’ve smelt much worse. Flavour’s mild, there’s not much there, some corn, grain and just a hint of hops -- it’s inoffensive but also quite dull. Not something I’d ever drink, I like flavour in my beer, but If you have to drink some buck-a-beer Light beer then you might as well get this, it’s better then some of the other contenders out there.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 HogTownHarry (4872) - Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, CANADA - NOV 19, 2007
Bottle (341ml). "Courtesy" of blankboy. Clear pale gold, fizzy average white head, a few bubbles (3-). Smells like a cheap lager - corn, harsh dry weeds, less paper and metal than I’d normally expect, but it IS cold. Tastes the same - harsh, corny, stinging initial carbonation, then just flat and dead on the palate. Miles better than BudLight, but still cheap, thin and harsh.
