Pale straw colored pour. The aroma has a bit of straw aroma. No real hoppiness at all. It tastes like all-malt, but the beer is pretty bland in and of itself. Meh.

Very pale golden yellow with a surpisingly good fluffy white head. Grassy cereal aroma. Flavour is very light, grains with a vague note of hoppy bitterness that manages to pick up steam as the glass goes on. Average palate. Boring but inoffensive. If your going to drink mainstream, it might as well be cheaper I guess!

UPDATED: JAN 8, 2003 They call it pilsener . Well if it is it must be pretty lame one . For me is more like classic american standart . I got also some sulfury notes . Not much beyond that . use ur imagination Lakeport ’specialists’.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2006 Bottle (341ml) - a gift from blankboy - thanks! Poured a mostly clear, bubbly gold with a thick foamy white head - on my balcony in the sun and a thirst, pretty nice so far. Aroma’s not too bad - there’s some sharp hops there, unfortunately quite a lot of chemicals too, and a bit of not too corny malt sweetness - also more than a little juniper too. Taste isn’t awful - too much metal spoils it, but also not skunky (not very) and not like drinking frappéed creamed corn. There’s a little fresh hop taste there, dry straw, and perhaps a bit of peach. It’s a little oily and light in the mouth, but not harsh on the taste or the aftertaste (what there is of either). As someone pointed out, it is what it is and it’s less obnoxious than Blue or other such. I’m a little surprised. I mean, it’s not GOOD. *update* As it warms it gets very skunky and nasty. Keep it cold? - sure, but you shouldn’t have to. downchecked from 2.0 to 1.6, I’m afraid.

Mild herbal hop aroma. Clear golden body with low white head that dissipates rapidly leaving a wisp of coverage. Grainy and sweet flavour is clean though boring. Light body with high carbonation seems watery. Entered from notes.

Bottle. Pours a clear, flat gold with an average diminishing white head. Very mild aroma of grain, bread, grass and yeast. Flavour is also grainy with a touch of sweet malt and a little bit of hops show up in the aftertaste. For a macro pilsener it’s surprisingly smooth, has no harshness and no skunkyness making it one of the better ones in it’s field -- but halfway through I’d had enough of the mediocrity and moved on to something better.

So I just finished rating Brava Cerveza by the same brewer. I had stated that it wasn’t godaweful, but was it was pretty uninspiring. This beer was godaweful, ecliped only by the awefullness of Laker Ice that we opened immediately after pouring out this one.
