tiggmtl (4179), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Sep 2, 2005 Mild herbal hop aroma. Clear golden body with low white head that dissipates rapidly leaving a wisp of coverage. Grainy and sweet flavour is clean though boring. Light body with high carbonation seems watery. Entered from notes.
DocLock (4170), Lower Pottsgrove, Pennsylvania, USA Feb 4, 2005 Pale gold, with slight hopcit aroma and taste. Another forgettable pils. Never again. CapFlu (3340), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Dec 18, 2002 I’m certain that the naval flag signals on the side of the box spell out "Keep Away!". I would hope they didn’t get the water from the bay? Radek Kliber (3339), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Dec 30, 2001 Updated: Jan 8, 2003They call it pilsener . Well if it is it must be pretty lame one . HogTownHarry (3286), Toronto (Harbourfront), Ontario, Canada Jul 31, 2005 Updated: Dec 25, 2006Bottle (341ml) - a gift from blankboy - thanks! Poured a mostly clear, bubbly gold with a thick foamy white head - on my balcony in the sun and a thirst, pretty nice so far. Aroma’s not too bad - there’s some sharp hops there, unfortunately quite a lot of chemicals too, and a bit of not too corny malt sweetness - also more than a little juniper too. Taste isn’t awful - too much metal spoils it, but also not skunky (not very) and not like drinking frappéed creamed corn. There’s a little fresh hop taste there, dry straw, and perhaps a bit of peach. It’s a little oily and light in the mouth, but not harsh on the taste or the aftertaste (what there is of either). As someone pointed out, it is what it is and it’s less obnoxious than Blue or other such. I’m a little surprised. I mean, it’s not GOOD. *update* As it warms it gets very skunky and nasty. Keep it cold? - sure, but you shouldn’t have to. downchecked from 2.0 to 1.6, I’m afraid.
