Nice red amber clear with a medium size, large, lasting beige head. Faint soapy dish water, yeasty old fruity aromas. Watery and low carb - flat generic soft drink like body. Sweetish bland light malty flavours. Tastes like a cola with too much melted ice. Stale mild bitter finish. Apart from reasonable looks this beer has few redeeming features. Avoid.

(Bottle) Beige head and mahogany body. Faint tinny aroma with slight malt undertones. Sweet malt flavour, thin... little here. Perhaps the weakest example of a Scottish Ale I've had. Poor example but I don't know if worth the beating its received?

UPDATED: SEP 16, 2003 Re-Rated: Nothing in the aroma. However it has lost its metalic taste that I've tasted in my previous rating. Without metal it is more drinkable. It has more of a body then before.

Reddish brown color, bubbly head. Sweet malt and hints of corn in the nose. Sweet body, light hops, pretty gross. What's with the corn?

Medium chestnut brown. Slightly metallic, grainy aroma. Watery, vague caramel. Vapid. Bring back McGinty's Crew!

Deep dark amber with small head .Sweet with not the most pleasant aroma. Watery thin beer. Laker you are great!

Hint of malt aroma, brown, with a toffee head. Faint sweet malt flavour, thin. Poor example of the Style.

This beer is not a Scottish Ale. Wouldn't be surprised if it wasn't even an ale but an American Dark. Does have a slightly Scottish name though. And, yes, this beer has a wee willy (i.e., no balls). Dark brown w/ beige head. Very mild caramel aroma. Watery feel. Some sweetness & bitterness but ultimately very bland.
