JesseM (661), Kitchener-Waterloo, Ontario, Canada Apr 2, 2009 Updated: Apr 11, 2009341mL bottle from a mixed-6, from the brewery’s retail store. Pours out a slightly hazy pale gold with a medium white head. The aroma is pretty fleeting, mild honey and grains, but so faint it’s really not very impressive, though there’s nothing repulsive here. The flavour is mildly fruity, with an undertone of dry grassy hops, some sweet grains in the finish that are okay. No off flavours at all. Very watery pallate and a tad fizzy. There’s actually a medly of different flavours in here that are hard to nail down due to their faintness and tendency to mix up with eachother. Much better than you might expect, though still suffers from a severe lack of flavour. MrManning (1634), London, Ontario, Canada Mar 12, 2009 Bottle from the beer store. Sparkling golden pour with a fizzy and short lived white fizz. Grainy nose has a touch of frutiness. Tastes of sweet grains, some honey, grassy. High carbonation is rough on the palate. Strangebrewer (208), Chatham, Ontario, Canada Nov 21, 2008 Poured clear gold with a thin frothy head. Sweet grainy aroma. Medium mouthfeel, a bit grassy, not bad for a value beer. pootzboy (1037), Hawgville, Ontario, Canada Oct 19, 2008 Updated: Oct 23, 2008Bottle from the brewery retail outlet.
OK My ratings whore instinct took over my better judgement and I tried one of these buck a beer wonders from the Brick.
Pours a flacid yellow gold with a smal quickly vanishing cap, no lacing to speak of. Fizzycarbonation.
Light grainy sweet aroma
Thin mouth feel, graininess with a detectable fruity note and stale hops fast abrupt finish, no off tastes but pretty cheap. Kinda like a resurrected poor boy Molson Golden ale.
