341 ml bottle from the Brick Brewery retail store. pours clear yellow with a small white head that reduces to a ring. over carbonated. looks like macro lager. aroma of light grain. the flavour is quite bland but there is a touch of malt near the finish. quick dry finish, zero complexity. nothing going on with this one. pretty clean though.

I guess they had to do an ale when they saw that Lakeport had one out. I do enjoy the Lakeport one (as it does feel like an ale), but this one... not sure. Pours a clean golden colour with a fizzy white head that dissipates quickly and leaves no traces. Smells and taste like corn, with of course some chemical disaster. This is not felt directly from the bottle (so this is the only way to drink this). So, Lakeport wins this one... and the rest, I will have straight from the bottle.

Bottle. Everyday blah medium gold appearance. Yeasty, fresh bread, mild bitterness but overall way to overcarbonated to ascertain a flavour profile. Ginger ale in a beer bottle.

UPDATED: APR 11, 2009 341mL bottle from a mixed-6, from the brewery’s retail store. Pours out a slightly hazy pale gold with a medium white head. The aroma is pretty fleeting, mild honey and grains, but so faint it’s really not very impressive, though there’s nothing repulsive here. The flavour is mildly fruity, with an undertone of dry grassy hops, some sweet grains in the finish that are okay. No off flavours at all. Very watery pallate and a tad fizzy. There’s actually a medly of different flavours in here that are hard to nail down due to their faintness and tendency to mix up with eachother. Much better than you might expect, though still suffers from a severe lack of flavour.

Bottle from the beer store. Sparkling golden pour with a fizzy and short lived white fizz. Grainy nose has a touch of frutiness. Tastes of sweet grains, some honey, grassy. High carbonation is rough on the palate.

Poured clear gold with a thin frothy head. Sweet grainy aroma. Medium mouthfeel, a bit grassy, not bad for a value beer.

UPDATED: OCT 23, 2008 Bottle from the brewery retail outlet. OK My ratings whore instinct took over my better judgement and I tried one of these buck a beer wonders from the Brick. Pours a flacid yellow gold with a smal quickly vanishing cap, no lacing to speak of. Fizzycarbonation. Light grainy sweet aroma Thin mouth feel, graininess with a detectable fruity note and stale hops fast abrupt finish, no off tastes but pretty cheap. Kinda like a resurrected poor boy Molson Golden ale.
