1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 radiomgb (2078) - Peterborough, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 28, 2007
Pale golden in colour, thin quickly dissipating white head, no lacing. The aroma is grainy, some corn and cooked vegetables, metal and sweaty socks. The flavour is a bit fruity, some sweetness, crisp, corn, vegetables, tin. Watery mouthfeel, light body, medium carbonation. Finishes thin, watery and quick. Not overly horrible but just borderline drinkable.
500ml can from the LCBO in Peterborough, Ontario.
Best before May 4, 2007.

Pheeew, this was a rank beer! No, it isn’t off or spoiled. It’s just bad. I’ve had a lot of macro-style pale lagers lately and I tend to cut them more slack than most raters, but this one stinks. Watery and featureless aside from a stinky aroma and a corny, harsh flavour profile.

Definately the worst of the Laker series. Some malt to start, fizzy carbonation, and then airline fuel and dry finish. Tin metallic aftertaste. Old stale Beer smell

Tin and corn, mild malt/bread aromas. Fluffy white heasd with a golden body. Corn and mild flavours. Harsh alcohol for a 5.5. Not good.

Corn and the slightest hint of malt in the nose, golden, pours a medium sized white head. Tastes of corn and very mildly of malt, metalic finish. Light bodied. Ordinary. Thanks mds.

bottle. pale golden straw colour with a small white head. aroma is mostly sweet cooked vegetables and light grain alcohol. body is less offensive. it’s mostly sweet corn malt but the carbonation is softer than what you would find in most other macros. mediocre at best.

Bottle (341ml). Poured hazy yellow-gold with a decent-sized fizzy-foamy fairly lasting white head. Aroma chemicals, sour corn mash, solvents, a bit of wet newsprint. Taste is just plain nasty - sour metallic vegetal harshness versus processed sugar sweetness and I swear rubbing alcohol to boot. Palate was fizzy, clangy, watery harshness. Avoid this one - I’m pouring it off after three sips (the last two were difficult, but I’m trying to be fair).

The third of the terrible"buck a beer" Brick sodie pops I endured. This is definately the worst so far. Same fizzy, no-head, pale straw colored look. Aroma non existant except for a slight damp cardboard smell....watery, gassy mouthfeel dominated by carbonation and the weak taste of sour vegetal juice....fast finish with no detectable malt or hop presense...this is like a sour veggy soda pop....not to be recommended or taken seriously.
