Laker Red is our newest addition to the popular priced Laker family. Brewed with a combination of darken malt gives this all natural strong style beer its amber, reddish hue.

Darker amber; nose of gasoline, corn, caramel. Smooth, but artificially slick mouthfeel. Quick finish and watery body.

OK for cooking. Some aroma but could turn off others. Big head but temporary. Metallic cheap bitter aftertaste. Junky Brick beer for a distracted TV sports fan with fatty food to cover up a cheap quick high.

There is a touch of caramel and bitterness in here but thats about all. Kind of a funky wierdness too it that is not entirely worth the minimum number of words.

Bottle. Pours a clear reddish orange with an average size diminishing fizzy white head. Looks O.K. but not bubbly enough. Aroma of grain, caramel malt and sugar. Flavour was malt, malt and malt. I detected no hops in the aroma or taste. A bit of a metallic aftertaste. I thought this would suck bad but it’s surprisingly better than some other "Red" beers I’ve had. I expected it to be much worse than it was -- passable.

(Bottle) Copper body and almond head. Nose of malt and unlaundered sweatpants - likely gone commando style. Tasting slight malt and caramel with a somewhat bitter finish. Never been impressed by the macro red beers.

Mild malt aroma, copper colour, pours a large toffee head, some lace. Malty, nutty, slight caramel flavour, a subdued bitterness follows. Medium bodied, dry, a pleasant surprise.

Tasted 11/3/08. 12oz bottle. Filtered with an amber hue. Moldy ring of head. Caramel cereal aromas. Medium bodied with sweet malts and a bitter acidic finish. Moderate effervescence. Touch dry in the finish.

Copper in colour. Aroma of malts and the odd time of caramel. Flavour has some malts and caramel. Finishes somewhat bitter and artificial.

BOttle- Dark amber colour pour, with a thin and semi active off white head. Cereal, corn and whacked out malt in the nose. Bittersweet poor malt flavours, grain and corn. Skunky finish. Not that great. Maker’ a laker!
