Tastes even less like beer than regular Laker. Smells strong and tastes strong but it is easy on the wallet.
1.7 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 6/20 Spab (1196) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JAN 7, 2011
341 ml bottle from LCBO. Pours a clear yellowish gold with small white head. Underwhelming aroma is grainy with some adjunct and honey. Taste is grainy with a little corn, honeyish sweetness and some grass. Finish is quick and thin. Not awful but has a bit of a chemically feel to it.

341 ml bottle from the LCBO breakers bin. pours straw with a lasting white head. aroma of nothing........ creeping dusty adjunt. the flavour is a touch sweet, some apple, not terrible. decent if rated as a malt liquor, poor as an ESL.
1.6 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 JohnBarleycorn (537) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 14, 2010
Bottle. Medium-gold. Aromas of green apple skin, white grape, bread and big alcohol bite. Heavy, rich and cloying palate to be expected for a 6.5% brew. A simple-minded bruiser, with generic sweet corn sugar adjunct, mild wet grain and alcohol-laden bitter finish. Not the kind of beer you’d want to bump into in a dark alley.
1.9 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 OntBeerDrinker (129) - Ontario, CANADA - NOV 4, 2009
The colder it is,the less watery and sweet it taste. It’s just a hint of sweetness so you know it’s their(not in a way that will turn me off)and when colder less watery taste. Usally when I say a beer taste water it’s more like dirty tap water with alcohol and I like clean filterd water with no alcohol. You don’t taste the 6.5%. If I didn’t know the % I would think a different % but not sure what #. I have one left for tonight from a 6pack i bought at the beer store to try out. cheapist way to get(no singale’s for slae)6 pack is $8 something. Is it worth a 2nd 6pack? I am not sure. it’s a meh beer, but worth trying. Something I wanted to try for a while and bought on late October.
1.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 5/20 DerWeg (1271) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - JUL 11, 2009
Clear gold blonde with dense dishsoapy head - cap has foam-rubbery solidity. Initial aroma is kind of harsh but it subsides, and it smells sweet with apple and corn. Taste is sweet and bready with spoiled fruit like melon. Late hop bitterness makes it dry to the mouth.
