COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This IPA has more in common with its Trappist cousins than with the face shredding IPA’s of the west coast. While we still have a healthy bitter backbone and floral hop notes, this IPA is decidedly malty and complex with the addition of our Belgian yeast. It’s the thinkin’ man’s IPA. Food Pairings: Spicy foods from Thai to Mexican food to Hot Wings

Pours a hazy orange/grey/red color. Notes of belgian candi sugar, earthy hops, and chips. Lots of good malted barley. Foamy mouthfeel. Strange after taste

Bottle. Taste is dry flowers, summer fruit, yeast and hay. Light bitterness. Decent.

12 oz bottle thanks to crajun. Pours a slightly cloudy amber color with a big frothy head that fades slowly and leaves nice lacing. Great appearance. Aroma is almost entirely Belgian spices and yeast. Light floral notes too. More flowers come out in the taste but it’s still mostly a spicy Belgian ale with some bitterness. I’m enjoying this more than most Belgian IPA’s I’ve had. Finish is very smooth and a little creamy. Mouthfeel is thick and creamy. This is really well made but Belgian IPA’s are just hard for me to love. This is probably the best Belgian IPA I’ve had.

12 oz bottle compliments of Crajun. Poured a slightly hazy copper into a perfect pint glass. Fluffy off white head. Aroma of yeast, bread and earth. Flavorful with much Belgian yeast upfront, nice hop bitterness at the end, paired nicely with some spice notes. Tasty combination. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Sampled at the Texas Craft Brew fest, my score is based off of some incoherent notes and a 2 oz sample.

Tap at Cock & Bull. Large head with nice lacing. Aroma is almost all floral. Flavor is hoppy but not overwhelming. Hops shines through. To me, really well balanced. Very pleasant beer. Good everyday drinker. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours clear orange with a lasting head. Sweet malt and citrus aroma. Excellent hop bitterness without over doing it. Reminds more of an English IPA than American. Very smooth on the palate with a lingering hop finish. Very nicely done.

Aroma mostly of coriander, touch of hops - rather nice. Dark golden with fine bubbles. Balanced bitterness with belgian funk finish, gives it some texture on the end, not super smooth but not harsh. Pretty good belgian IPA, probably better than Ommegang’s

Pours cloudy amber color out of bottle with large off white head. Great aroma of spices but not very strong taste of spice. I enjoy this beer and I don't normally enjoy Belgian-style beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
