3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Sample at The Bottle Shop in Dallas. The beer pours a clear copper color with a medium thick and fluffy off-white head that dissipates slowly. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and spices. Medium-bodied with flavors of citrusy hops, malt and fruity yeast. The finish is moderately bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

Light easy drinking, slight caramel flavor amongst the bitter ipa tastes. Not the most strong ipa ever

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Thanks to crajun for sending this one in a trade.
Pours hazy gold with a white head.
The aroma is spicy citrus with a touch of Belgian funk in back.
The flavor is lightly bitter but with little malt sweetness. Not a typical IPA though due to a definite Belgian yeast influence.
Nice one, definitely different than the norm.

4.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Clear bronze with a generous foamy off white head. The nose is citrusy and funky with a Belgian bright fruit ester combined with American hop dankness. The flavor is strong and malt forward with some toast and earthy caramel sweetness, with some trailing Belgian pear/apricot esters following behind with a touch of grapefruit rind. Really pleasant, complex, and quite drinkable.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20
Hay malts on the nose. Slight floral tones are there. Pours a dark amber with a very thick head that lasts throughout. Light bitter taste is there, as well as a a light sweetness. Just OK, and not my idea of an IPA.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Medium sized off white head with good retention and a nice coating lace that lasts. Hazy, copper amber hued brew. Mild nose of floral, spicy hops and maybe a hint of vinegar? Lightly medium in body with a slightly prickly carbo level, lil oily. Light grainy flavors and pepperyness, little grass ans ome metallic notes, yeasy. Fairly dry finish, little fruit. Too clean. Bottle from fiveacestx. Thanks Cam!

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottled 8/13/13. Red-amber color, delicate white head and lace form up top. Sweet grainy malt and Belgian spices fill the air, supplemented by hops on the back end.
Sweet grain pushes the earthy hops back, imparting malty sweetness in its place. I thought I liked malty Single IPAs, but this is a bit much for me. However, the sticky, surprisingly viscous mouthfeel rocks my world. An interesting brew.
