COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This IPA has more in common with its Trappist cousins than with the face shredding IPAís of the west coast. While we still have a healthy bitter backbone and floral hop notes, this IPA is decidedly malty and complex with the addition of our Belgian yeast. Itís the thinkiní manís IPA. Food Pairings: Spicy foods from Thai to Mexican food to Hot Wings

Bottle from Rosebud Butternuts. Aroma seems floral/citrus with a nutty touch. Med body or better. Flavor is spicy, citrus, malty. The flavors are fairly strong - tho this is not a NW mouth burner the hop and yeast/spice are making it bitter enough. This flavor is quite different. Nice stuff.

A hazed orange amber ipa with a thick frothy mocha head. In aroma, nice caramel malt with grassy floral hops, resinous character, grapefruit pulp, very nice. In mouth, a nice caramel malt with loads of resinous floral hops, treacle, clover field, nice and balanced. On tap at gas money, DFW.

Dogbrick (9085) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - APR 9, 2014
Sample at The Bottle Shop in Dallas. The beer pours a clear copper color with a medium thick and fluffy off-white head that dissipates slowly. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, hops and spices. Medium-bodied with flavors of citrusy hops, malt and fruity yeast. The finish is moderately bitter with a hoppy aftertaste. Decent overall.

12 ounce bottle. A light fruity nose with some sweet phenolic Belgian yeast. The flavor is a great meld of Belgian elements with bigger fruity hops, light bitterness. Some nutty flavors with banana and clove, big oranges. Good.

Bottle:   Dull amber, a little dark and hazy, thin off-white head, little lacing.   Candyish citrus peel like hopped up nose.   A little musty up front, pale/dank citrus bitterness that isnít as sweet or candyish as the nose suggested.   Moderate body and mouthfeel.   Muted bitter finish, dull candyish citrus peel.   Not bright, but still interesting.   Thanks Bill!
