This delicate beers starts with a subtle caramel aroma. The coppery hue draws you into its balanced flavor of light malty sweetness and round noble hop bitterness. It finishes dry and clean. Leaving your palate refreshed for another glass.

Really nice, if unspectacular, pale ale. Good looks, mouthfeel and flavors. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Clear copper with a sticky thin white head. Nose is sweet and biscuity with a gentle toffee-like cracker note. The flavor is a bit cracker-like with a bit of toffee, and earthy grains, ends with a touch metallic and dry.

Bottle from ericandersnavy or baby butternuts, whatever he wants to be called these days. Pours a deep copper to red with light tan head. Aroma is wet metal, burnt orange and slight wet malt. Taste is more metallic and malty with some slight burnt caramel. Extremely dry. Nice change in a style I’m not used to.

Bottle:   Amber, thin sudsy off-white head, little lacing.   Soft sweet bready nose.   Slight hop presense too.   Smooth on the tongue, bready, semi-sweet, with perhaps more hop than some.   Decent change of pace.   Still prefer mine bigger and slightly sweeter (Eliot Ness).   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Doesn’t stick around on the tongue much after the finish.   Just a soft hop aspect that lingers.   Could stand to be more malty, other than that its decent.   Thanks Bill!

Bottle from Rosebud Butternuts. Pours clear copper with an off-white head. Aroma is malty/bready with some herb noble hop. Med body. Flavor is caramel with a decent load of herb and maybe grass hop. Suddenly in the finish it gets pretty bitter. It wasn’t, then it was. Finishes towards dry for sure.

Pours clear copper with large white head. Smells lightly of caramel and subtle hops. Taste is slightly bitter with a subtle sweetness. Medium-bodied with a wet texture and average mouth-carbonation, Lakewood Lakewood Lager finishes with a surprisingly bitter crispness.

On tap. Pours dark amber with long lasting, fluffy white head. Aroma is of caramel malt and hops. Body is medium and crisp. Taste is of grapefruity hops and caramel malt. Finish is long, citrusy. I would prefer noble hops in this brew.
