COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
This is our take on an American Rye/Wheat. It pours with a fluffy white head and has a cloudy straw color. The citrus aroma and the addition of rye malt gives it a complexity and subtle pepperiness. Itís soft on the palate and finishes slightly dry with just a hint of lemon zest in the background. Food Pairing: Light and soft cheeses. Crisp salads. Poultry, fish and shellfish

Bottle - Wheat, lemon, grass and a slight skunky bitterness. Clearish gold with a rich bubbly white head. Wheat, grass and some light refreshing bitterness. Rye adds some nice spice that makes it a bit more interesting. I think this is a nice refreshing beer with some unusual but decent flavors.

Better than expected. Faint aroma of wheat, rye and hops. Cloudy golden color with barely a head, which concerned me that it was flat. This turned out not to be the case as the carbonation was high. It had a refreshingly light palate with a dry finish. Wheat and citrusy hops hits first with a small sense of lemon and eventually the rye kicks in at the end. Easy to drink with food.

Either this beer is inconsistent or our taste buds are very different. Or both. Most are saying light on the rye but Iím in the heavy rye camp. Possibly the most rye-forward beer Iíve ever tasted.

Bottle:   Straw in color, some haze, small to moderate sudsy white head, spotty lacing.   Pale wheaty nose, a touch fruity.   A bit more fruity on the tongue.   Quite a bit more fruity, seems like peach or apricot.   Very light Rye.   Very soft wheatiness.   Clean, with a moderate body and mouthfeel.   Finishes with a soft fruity wheatiness.   Not a big Wheat Ale, but not mealy, and in a slight change of pace, a bit more fruity than others.   I can dig it.   Thanks Bill!

Murky golden color with white head. Tart wheat, fruity, sulfer, rye spice aromas. medium body, average carbonation. Nice citrusy flavors with doughy wheat bread, rye spice--drying finish---good.

Bottle from Rosebud Butternuts. Pours hazy light orange with a slight off-white head. Light rye notes in the aroma. Med body or nearly. Flavor is lemony with some hot bits. Dryer than not. Better than many wheats.

Pours hazy yellow with a large white head. Smells mildly spicy and a little fruity. Taste is a little sweet and has a tiny bit of spicy bitterness. Medium-bodied with a slick texture and fizzy mouth-carbonation, Lakewood Rock Ryder finishes with a little bitterness.

Poured from bottle into an English pint glass. Pours a hazy straw color with a thin white head. Aroma is slightly citrusy and some pepper notes. Similar to the aroma, vaguely citrusy up front but a pepper finish. Pepper bite lingers in the mouth. Average carbonation. Could deal with a less rye bite to it.

Thin and kinda lifeless really. Not much of any rye flavor nor too much wheat flavor/mouth feel...
